I continue to believe that Sarah Palin is not yet qualified to be president, but my admiration for her continues to grow. Her interview with Sean Hannity, just aired, was almost pitch-perfect. It was dignified. It was well-modulated. It was strong. And it was thoughtful. She kept her composure even as Hannity put on the screen some of the vilest, most vicious attacks against her -- the sorts of things that were so bad that if they were said about me they might shake me to my core. She explained her thought process after hearing about the shooting in Tucson, and explained the timing of her videotaped message, and explained her use of the term "blood libel." She insisted, rightly, that strong and honest -- but respectful -- political debate should not be stifled, and noted that it only seems like the right is asked to stifle its views. She was correct on all counts.
The truth is, there is almost nothing this lady has ever done or said that merits the sorts of venomous vitriol to which she has been subjected. Her rhetoric is sharp but not hateful. Her views -- and even more, her actual record -- are mainstream conservative, not extremist. And her story of a plucky, self-made rise from unlikely (for a politician) origins, on the basis of hard work and gumption, is remarkably admirable. And, frankly, whom has she hurt along the way? The feelings of those who are appalled that she wouldn't abort her Downs Syndrome baby? The ideology of those who thought she should force her daughter to get an abortion? The corrupt old-boy network who plagued (and effectively robbed) Alaska....

Did you see the guy on Hannity tonight? The far left are out of their minds. Now they are trying to blame Sarah for the type of rhetoric that was thrown at her. It was Chuckie Schumers(sp?) campaign manager I think. I was yelling so loud at the tv my hubby was getting scared...lol I could not get over how they were trying to twist this now to blame Sarah for the lying rhetoric against her. It was more then appalling it was obscene.
I really worry that someone is going to take a shot at her.
I want her and her family to get some good personal protection agents (aka “bodyguards”) and armed security for their home.

Only got to see part of it but she did very well, and while Hannity wasn’t adversarial, the questions certainly were not softball ones.
What should register with everyone is how reslilent and strong this woman is. After all the crap they’ve thrown at her, all the personal stuff, the smears, and the flat-out lies that she later gets called “thin-skinned” for setting the record straight about - - she hangs right in there.
If you ever wanted to see a preview of what a President would be like under the stress of that 3AM phone call, just watch Sarah Palin in action.
There is no doubt she is the real deal.
Question is, can she outrun the propaganda in the eyes of Joe Schlub and Suzy Sweatpants?
The more they attack her, the more opportunities she has to show her strength.
Get over yourself, Quinn. A LOT of conservatives are WAAAAY ahead of you and ready to make her our next president in 2012!!

I hope they have it. God will also protect her and her family, we need to keep her and her family in prayer. This is getting scary. The left doesn’t seems to have a shortage of violent mentally disturbed people on their side.
I do, too. The leftists' messiah has fallen, they want for someone to be sacrificed, and Sarah is their first choice.
If it happened, the underlying message of MSM coverage would be "Sarah Palin got some of her own medicine. Ha, ha, ha! And the days of civilized political discourse would be over.
I'm glad that Sarah now has some money, and I hope she spends plenty of it on her own security.
When she speaks in public, her supporters should look less at Sarah and more at their neighbors in the crowd.

Almost nothing? Name one thing she has ever said or done that does merit the venomous vitriol, lies and threats she has been subjected to, Quinn.
She's hurt the Dems, the Republican Elite, and the lamestream Media, all of whom hate her. They're scared silly of her and the Tea Party - much more so than of Islamic terrorists (see reaction to Major Hassan).
The political elites were not amused by the drastic losses that Democrat insiders incurred in the Congress, Governorships, and State Legislatures, or by losses old-time Republicans incurred in the primaries.
Sarah Palin is a Joan of Arc type figure, inspiring newcomers to run for office and kick out old-time, corrupt politicians.
She's far more qualified than the current usurper!
Give her a little time, Quin, and you might just be surprised one day to realize that she is, indeed, qualified to be President.
