Des Moines-With her youthful wardrobe platform sandals, polka-dotted toenails and skinny, low-cut jeans Sarah Palin does not look like the buttoned-up, middle-aged Republican presidential contenders who've been traipsing around New Hampshire and Iowa for weeks. But here she is, just like them, sweeping into both states this weekend to give speeches on her way to, well, what?
If she is to run for president, she said last month, she will have to decide by the end of September.
Many Republicans with ample presidential campaign experience say her window is closing fast. Polls suggest that her indecisiveness may have turned off many Republican voters who might have been more open to her before Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann got in the race.
That could change, though, if Palin decides to run.
"She obviously has total name identification, and still has a net positive image with the Republican base, the people who vote in caucuses and primaries," said Charlie Black, a veteran Washington lobbyist who served as Sen. John McCain's chief advisor in the 2008 presidential campaign. "She has proven her ability to raise money. The necessary tools are there."
Last month at the Iowa State Fair, Palin said any campaign of hers would be "very grass-roots."(continued)

The Saudis can always make up the difference.
She has said that her campaign will be very grassroots. It will NOT be like anyone elses. Will she need money? Yeah. $1Bil? I don’t think so. Look at the press she’s getting this weekend. For free.
2ndDivisionVet,
Women like us Freeperettes love men like you. You served our country at a time when people like Jane Fonda (*%@) was serving the enemy. We will always remember the sacrifice you and others like you made. Hope your health improves soon.
My assertion is that she is sheparding a flock which lines up with what she is doing quite well. She’s got a small army of folks like you to throw behind the candidate of her choice. She’s a kingmaker. I’ll be surprised if she’s willing to submit her family to anymore abuse. A Chistian woman would make the ego-sacrifice to protect her family unless she was sure she was called.
Why should she give up her strategic advantage?
To make it "fair" for the RINOs and 'Rats?
Palin is coming, and the Tea Party is coming with her.
I think she’s keeping both options open: running herself, and being kingmaker. Whatever her plans, I’ll bet only she and Todd know them.
Actually, everything she has done in the past 3.5 years was geared toward crowning Rick Perry King.
Honest.
I personally won’t charge her one red cent for my vote. Anyone who does is just not cool.
On the other hand Obama couldn’t buy my vote with a billion dollars, I love my country too much.
Which proves a point: As soon as she OFFICIALLY enters the race, the LSM, who so fervently seek out her every footstep, suddenly will say, "Sarah Palin? Who's Sarah Palin? And who cares where she is?"
Thus, her currently "strategery" seems pretty sound to me.
Sarah Palin will need far less money than traditional candidates. One of the things I admire about Palin is her frugality when it comes to using other peoples’ money. That trait will be helpful when it comes to putting together a federal budget.
Yes,and I think she is ready for it this time.I trust her.She will get her message out, dispell the lies.
I believe she needs to quit her gig at Fox News before she runs for President...so quitting that will be a huge tell. We'll know her intentions within a few weeks, if not sooner.
A Palin/Cain ticket would be a tsunami.
Some on this forum constantly play the "See, she's only in it for the money and fame" card. We're told she's MISLEADING us.
She's misled no one. She's been very forthright about the fact that she'll decide and announce her decision in her own time. PERIOD.
If she decides and announces she's not running, will I (and presumably a lot of other folks) be disappointed. You betcha. Will we throw ourselves off the nearest bridge. I, for one, will not. I'll continue to stand by her in whatever she pursues, knowing that she's talked this monumental decision over with, and listened to, her family and with God, and acted accordingly.
There is no such thing as an "establishment conservative".
lol...even donna brazile seems to be cheering...albeit from a different sideline...lol
Palin is on point. There’s room for another maverick! RT @nytimespolitics The Caucus: Palin Says ‘There’s Room for More’ http://nyti.ms/mTuWE1
That would be great. but i also like
Palin/West
Palin/Rubio
I really can’t see any other combo’s.
considering how she’s so unconventional i wonder if she would announce her VP pick during the primaries. That wouls really change the game.
