People have been asking me all week if conservatives will stick with Herman Cain, but I think he's got a bigger problem than the conservative vote. A lot more women than conservatives vote, and the women I've talked to are finished with him.
There's a new CBS poll which says that 38 percent of female Republican primary voters are "less likely to back him" now that more accusers have come forward. Among all registered voters, CBS reports that Cain has lost support among women since last monthfrom 28 percent in October to 15 percent now. My sense is that 15 percent of female registered voters remaining as Cain supporters may be a little high, because the poll was conducted before Cain's attorney started threatening any other potential accusers with the notion that they'd better "think twice" before coming forward.
This whole thing is a shame, because so many of us liked Herman Cain's ideas and business experience. I've been defending him for the last few weeks as he spoke out against the anonymous and vague charges. But they're not anonymous and vague anymore. There are faces, and names, and ugly stories to match. As Kathleen Parker put it, three accusers is a trend. Four is a tipping point.
Women who have worked in politics have seen his type beforecasual with staff, jocular, kind of schmoozy. Fun at first, but then it becomes clear that they don't think the rules apply to them. After a while, there's an arrogance that sets in. Washington is full of bosses like that. I've worked for several.
Women don't like to talk about being sexually harassed because it's embarrassing. Life moves on and most of us would rather put bad incidents behind us. So for busy womenat least one of the accusers is a single mom with a teenage sonto come forward years later isn't easy. The fact that they're contemplating doing a joint press conference says to me they realize how high the stakes are, after they saw how Sharon Bialek's personal finances and work history were trashed. Safety in numbers.
These accusers who have come forward are about my age, and they seem very credible to me. They're not selling their stories to tabloids. They're not random women from all over the country, like some of former President Bill Clinton's accusers were. They all worked with Herman Cain specifically when he was at the Restaurant Association. They seem believable to me, and right now, he does not. I'm not defending him anymore.
the stories about how obama/axelrod used similar scorched earth sexual stories to wipe out obama political foes on his way through chicago/illinos elections is very instructive...illegally opening divorce records, etc. there’s a real pattern to be shown. folks need to remember that chicago is total cesspool. wouldn’t being a high level democrat in chicago be a particularly insipid way to make a living?
If you ever are the Defendant in a Jury Trial, make sure your Lawyer gets this idiot woman off the Panel.
One other thing, don’t even think about wearing a Double Breasted Suit in the Courtroom.
That would make the required contortions even more difficult unless she was a Pilate's or Yoga Instructor.
Did Herman Cain's car have Limo Tint on the windows? Can she identify Mr. Cain's “member” like Paula Jones did with Bill Clinton?
As I posted on another Thread, Herman Cain should have just said “If I was guilty of these accusations, I would have called President Clinton to find out how to handle it”.
Parker is a barf bag.
I still claim her “reaction” is unnatural.
Of course it isn’t true.
She’s a loon.
Any woman who looks at this and says, “I’ve experienced sexual harassment. I believe this woman.” needs to examine herself and her intentions. I submit that that woman is trying to blame Cain, to get back at the scumbag that harassed her years before.
And there's the big lie. At this point, only one accuser has come forward. So CBS is conducting a push poll based upon a false premise. Gee, no bias there.
“What a crazy, whacked out country wed be under Paul, when I think about it.”
What a crazy, whacked out country , we already are when you think about it.
I do not believe that anything happened except perhaps a case of her making advances toward Cain. She may be bitter about being rejected by him.
Oh, definitely. I can see her being offended and never forgetting it.
My Seattle Seahawks beat the Ravens today....Cain can beat Romney.
Thanks Onyx. I was thinking about this attitude, including a blind ‘of course he’s guilty’ from even my wife, after Bialek came out. I got so angry because a good man, with his decades of good and honorable character, wiped out in their minds by these accusations that sound almost laughable on their face.
NOTHING from his past, his subordinates, his co-workers, his friends and associates, has ever smacked of roving eyes or off-color remarks, let alone outright passes. I think to myself - women always want men to treat them like they have a brain - yet situations like this, it’s as if they turn them off - just go on their subjective anecdotal stories and experiences from some creep and throw out Herman’s sterling character, with no facts. How would they like it if some woman with years of respect and character had 4 guys come out and say she was fast and loose and slept with them. Say Oprah for example - they would dismiss it out of hand because it just didn’t match the character. So why are they such hypocrites with Herman Cain?
The same thing happened to Sarah - people believed accusers and totally ignored her years of character and honesty.
Absolutely true, and sadly makes smear campaigns more effective.
I dont know whether Cain is guilty or not.

As a professional women in a male dominated profession. I know that Cain is not guilty. If a joke or a minor reference to the difference between males and females is sexual harassment then our country has reached a sad state of affairs.

CBS, true to ii ts far left form, places the front runner last? They are as easy to read is Dick and Jane books!
All the candidates did well last night, though they were all flying by the seat of their pants, never really having had a thing to do with Foreign Policy.
At least Mr. Cain was perfectly honest about what he would do about Foreign Policy when he was deliberately hit with a heavy question first off in the debate. And once again, Herman Cain was right. After that he was virtually ignored by the moderators. Mr. Cain failed at nothing!
Romney actually stumbled over his own words twice. Pantie waist Perry boasted about his military service while Herman Cain never mentions his delicate missile work for the U.S. Navy!
In the CBS piece today, they continue to belittle Mr. Cains hugely successful record. I think it is high time all voters read This is Herman Cain. A very revealing and readable book now available at Costco for $l4.70.

Lets keep Herman on top of the heap! Thank you.
Here are the tings I like best about Herman Cain:
1. He is not a politician
2. He doesnt use the political vernacular, he speaks just like the people speaks
3. He is a born fixer with a tremendous record of pulling companies on the brink of bankruptcy out and putting them back in the prosperous category, bar none
4. He is as honest as the day is long in mid summer
5. He loves America and the American dream and wants everyone to realize that dream
6. He is brilliant, really a U.S. Navy Rocket scientist with multi university degrees, a winner in everything he has taken on.
7. He has the right toolbox to bring the U.S. back to prosperity,
8. he is a great delegator
9. can restore our position in the world, and the wealthy Constitutional Republic we once were.
10. He is a well rounded individual, caring and responsible
The Left hates him, and is using all the dirty tricks at their disposal to bring him down. The true conservative loves him. He is the finest, most experienced man of character running for the presidency, and I pray to God in Heaven that he wins because there was never so much at stake as now.
“If a joke or a minor reference to the difference between males and females is sexual harassment then our country has reached a sad state of affairs. “
Agreed, I just don’t know what the nature is of what he did (if anything).
The allegations about the head pushing is assault. I don’t think he did that, though.
