There is a lot of spite involved in this battle, to be sure. But I just tend to think it's more on the Schiavo than the Schindler side. Schiavo could make the trouble go away so easily by cutting a transfer of guardianship agreement with the Schindlers by which they would promise to hold him harmless for anything he'd done in the past, and he keeps the money (and maybe even gets the pro-life ransom). Instead he just seems to want to snuff Terri out like a candle. If I were talking to Mike I would say, "you know Mike, I know you hate the Schindlers' guts more than anything on earth, but they won't treat Terri any worse than you have; make it easy on yourself and cut bait."

Of course you are right about what his first thoughts would have been. Still, though, it wouldn't have been too long afterwards that he would suspect Michael had hurt her. I would hope he told his parents & they would have gone to the police for an investigation, don't you think?

And they did- these nutbar accusations of Michael Schiavo assaulting her didn't begin until a few years ago, rather than at the beginning of the whole thing. My understanding is that they didn't have access to any medical records that would even suggest such a thing until after the statute of limitations for any 1990 crimes had already lapsed.

Well, I am confused again on this point: Did Schiavo or did he not starve and dehydrate both of his parents too? If so, did his brother and sister-in-law, who also said Terri would not want to live "with tubes," concur with the starvation and dehydration?
Notice, that Schiavo also went out of his way to say that he is "pro-choice."

They are trying to get SYMPATHY for themselves. CAN"T YOU SEE THAT?
Mike supposedly was hiding out in fear last week and folks saw him out shopping in a high-end shopping center.
OH, please.... the ONLY death threat is to TERRI from that wack job lawyer and her adulterous hubby!

If I were talking to Mike I would say, "you know Mike, I know you hate the Schindlers' guts more than anything on earth, but they won't treat Terri any worse than you have; make it easy on yourself and cut bait." I even bet that Jim Rob would be willing to nuke all the Terri threads for him if he agreed to that... :-)

Where is the initial hospital report that she had broken bones? Her limbs began to contort, which could produce fractures. Michael said that Terri was unconscious for 30 days, "then opened her eyes."
Dr. Baden could be in "it" for money & recognition, too. HBO documentary, indeed. I hope he shows proof.
With that, I'm going to bed.

Regarding #11 coming to Oregon. Don't even think about it Micheal because one PO'ed Angry Woman lives here. Don't even ponder it.

>> Felos says that after watching the movie "A Miracle at Fatima" Terri casually said to Mike," No religious medals for me!!" [/sarcasm]
:-)
I suggested an affidavit for Terri today, but I missed that detail. Let's redo it. Since her detractors all insist that she has the right to choose her own fate, all she needs to do is dictate and sign an affidavit, and have it notarized. This should be fine:
"I, Terri Schindler-Schiavo, being over 18 years of age, wish to die horribly by dehydration and have my body burned. About that sacred medallion blessed by the Pope -- sell it and reimburse Michael for the insulin ampules. And, oh yes, when I am receiving the last rites of the Holy Church, be sure to remind the police officers to threaten my aged, saintly priest with arrest if he dares to give me the communion host."
[/sarcasm] [even though it rings so true to life to some ears]

LOL - I'm sure he would nuke them. He doesn't allow conspiracy theories on other subjects, why this?

I also noticed an inconsistency-
Michael says it's all about money and that he and Bob got into a fight because Bob wanted the money for himself- Then why did Michael later in the show say that the Schindler's offered to buy him off for 700,000? Why would they pay him if they were only in this for money? LIE LIE LIE
Anyways, Michael, if you're reading this: I'll double it. I'll pawn the fillings in my teeth and give you my income till I die- JUST LEAVE TERRI ALONE!

You need to retract that statement. You are doing VERY WELL with your words.

Notice, that Schiavo also went out of his way to say that he is "pro-choice." Chilling how that works on both ends of the life spectrum. It started with being pro-choice for the mothers vis a vis the lives of their unborn (or half-born) babies; now we have pro-choice for the guardians vis a vis the lives of the incapacitated (with the absence of a living will being no great barrier if someone can convincingly recount a passing statement the decedent-to-be made about not wanting "artificial" life support).

Maybe a compromise: send them to the smokey backroom.....

As I understand, if the George W. Greer "court" strikes down "Terri's Law" and the appeals court or the Supreme Court of FL will not hear appeals, then Greer's original order would stand, and Terri's Law will be invalidated by the very judge who ordered Terri starved and dehydrated. One appointed (and confirmed by voters) judge can thwart the will of the governor AND the legislature in FL.
To: Theodore R.
If that happens, I think we will see 50,000 Floridians storm the Florida House crying "impeach! impeach!"
To: HiTech RedNeck
Yes, and that particular Judge should be impeached and not just for TERRI!

I fully agree that Felos is a "whak job lawyer." And, yes, Michael wants sympathy. But some of the things he said tonight can be checked, & he knows "right wingers" are on him. So, if he lied in citing "facts," he'll need all the help he can get.
Let me get this straight right now, in case somebody decides to accuse me (again) of wanting Terri dead, I do not agree with euthanasia, though I can understand why some people may take that route.
A court taking hearsay as evidence to permit this kind of death is, to me, unconscionable.
