Rush Update: EIB Update: Guest Hosts:

Roger Hedgecock opened up talking about the Forest Fires in California. Evidently his radio station is pretty close to it because he said he could smell the smoke.
Then he starts talking about the Democratic Presidential Debate last night. He asks whether you would consider having dinner with any of these people? Would you consider letting them work at your Convenience store?
He repeats the fact that he wouldn't hire these guys to run a Convenience store. The root of the word progessive is progress, advancing forward, etc.
Says these guys aren't progressive. When you have 94% of the people working, why do you need a WPA? All the Dims want to raise taxes. Roger says he got a little money from the tax break and it helps out with his kids.
Roger did pretty well today. That includes batting down a liberal caller who makes cabinets. I'm a little disappointed at the guest hosts that they have scheduled this week, but I'll listen every day because thats what Rush would want. Tony Snow isn't scheduled either. I liked him at first but, sometimes Mark Belling just doesn't seem to get it. Walter Williams will go on and on about Economic issues the entire time. I'd have to say that my favorite hosts from top to bottom would have to be..
Matt Drudge
Tony Snow
Tom Sullivan
Roger Hedgecock
Walter Williams
Mark Belling
After the stellar performance by Matt Drudge last week, he's not on again this week! They did a little montage of Rush talking. Send them e-mails letting them know we want Ann Coulter, Matt Drudge, Tony Snow, Laura Ingraham and others to guest host. I had the idea that they should have all four or five of these people on at once. A roundtable of Conservatives if you will.
When Mark Belling was interviewing Ann Coulter it seemed as if he was attributing her success to the fact that she says outrageous things. That bothered me. He kept saying that she was successful because she was willing to say things that others won't. Thats partially true, but the main reason for her success is Conservatism. He never mentioned that once while interviewing her.

They're all okay except Williams. He's dull and I don't like how he talks about his wife.

JMO......Beling, Sullivan, Drudge and Williams are BORING BORING!
Hedgecock is great.....and I would love to hear Snow again too. McCaslin of the Washington Times has been an excellent substitute host.
And why not let Snerdley...James Golden have a day at the golden EIB microphone!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed how he went on and on and on about his wife.

Drudge isn't boring to me at all. His performance on Friday was inspiring, passionate, and I am sure made the Maha Rushie proud.

Williams is my favorite. The rest are fine, though.

At one point in time he left the EIB to start his own talk show. Then Rush started having hearing problems and he came back.
I'd like to hear his take on the days issues. Not sure if he's Conservative or not though.
Although I'm not sure how somebody could listen to Rush for that amount of time and not be converted.

Matt Drudge was awesome, the CBS Reagan clips and his reaction to it were priceless-just like Mike Savage he kept yelling 'STOP THE TAPE' for his rebuttal
Im sure it was a life long dream of his to sit at the Golden EIB mike.

Roger Hedgecock opened up talking about the Forest Fires in California. Evidently his radio station is pretty close to it because he said he could smell the smoke. Thre's no place in San Diego that isn't downwind of the fires or smack dab in the middle of them. In the following map, the KOGO studios would be just North of Highway 8, a little bit to the right of where 15 meets 8:

Give Belling a few more chances. I am sure he was taking the line of questioning he did with Ann Coulter because he was trying to give her a forum to counter the criticism she receives from non-conservative media.
He regularly broadcasts in the city I am in. He is usually right on the mark when it comes to a conservative view of the issues of the day. But he does take a little getting used to.
BTW, my fav. Rush sub. is Snow followed by Hedgecock then Belling. Don't care much for Drudge or Williams.

I've listened to lots of Rush's guest hosts and think that Drudge's work on Friday
was the BEST stand-in ever.
To: ConservativeMan55
It's not the fact that he talks about his wife as a subject, but the way he indicates he treats her (i.e, ironing boards as a gift) that rattle me.
