FROM THE 'DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND': A new low for the far left: a post titled, "Why I Hope the Bloodshed Continues in Iraq." I kid you not.
DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND DECIDES TO EDIT: Hmmm. After I linked to a truly hideous posting celebrating bloodshed in Iraq, they take the page down. I should have copied the page. First CBS. Now DU. Shine a light on them and they scram.

THE POST: Here's what Democratic Underground didn't want you to see:
I Hope the Bloodshed Continues in IraqI'm not saying this represents anything but a radical fringe. Implying that liberals or Democrats support his kind of poison is absurd. But this exists. And it's part of what's fueling the anger of the far left. (By the way, Democratic Underground has more traffic than this site, Instapundit, the Nation or the New Republic. It boasts over 30,000 subscribers.)
Well, that should bring the bats out of the attic with fangs dripping. I won't be hypocritcal. It is politically correct, particularly in any Dem discussion to hope and pray and feel for our troops and scream "bring them back now". I'm fighting something bigger.
I'm a 58 year old broad and I can tell you that what is going on in our country isn't the usual ebb and flow of politics where one party is in power and then another; where the economy goes through ups and downs.......yawn, yawn--just wait a bit and things will turn out peachy keen. That stupid la-la land is over.
I realize that not every GI Joe was 100peeercent behind Prseeedent Booosh going into this war; but I do know that that is what an overwhelming number of them and their famlies screamed in the face of protesters who were trying to protect these kids. Well, there is more than one way to be "dead" for your country. They are not only not accompishing squat in Iraq, they are doing crap nothing for the safety, defense of the US of A over there directly. But "indirectly" they are doing a lot.
The only way to get rid of this slime bag WASP-Mafia, oil barron ridden cartel of a government, this assault on Americans and anything one could laughingly call "a democracy", relies heavily on what a shit hole Iraq turns into. They need to die so that we can be free. Soldiers usually did that directly--i.e., fight those invading and harming a country. This time they need to die in defense of a lie from a lying adminstration to show these ignorant, dumb Americans that Bush is incompetent. They need to die so that Americans get rid of this deadly scum. It is obscene, Barbie Bush, how other sons (of much nobler blood) have to die to save us from your Rosemary's Baby spawn and his ungodly cohorts.
Anyway, there a few long threads at DU. Seeing over 100 is a rarity, about as rare as a 500 thread post here. And there seem to be many fewer threads as well.
In terms of pure navigation, I sort of like the way DU has the front page where you pick your subtopic. But I really like FR's method of putting all posts in chronological order. DU puts them in a threaded order. This makes it really difficult to do "live" threads like election returns, world series game chat, etc. And here at FR, most people quote the sentence or two they're referring to when they reply, whereas at DU, it's hard to figure out where one subthread stops and the next one starts.
Of course, what many DUers write is just plain nuts. This woman is an extreme example, though, even for DU.
It's just that the quicker they can destroy the existing system, the quicker than can get on with building Utopia.
LOL, how do you keep you sanity?
If anyone were to look close enough they'd see that it's this type of anti-American leftist attitude that are doing as much harm as any foreign enemy. They are using the Constitution just in such a way to undermine the good that this country was based upon.
Half of those are freepers, lurking.
It's a dirty job...
I remember one from election night 2000 over there at DU, titled "What I spewed tonight." The guy sounded like he was sitting in a dark corner, preparing himself to perform a Columbine-style massacre. Really sick stuff. That one got pulled quickly after some Freepers pointed it out. Someone must have sent it out over the net, because Hugh Hewitt (I think it was) read it on the air the next day.
It's true though, they are pretty fringe. I don't know any Democrats who think like some of the nuts over there. The DUmmies are more like anarchists.
...would have been called inimici in late Republican Rome.
Your friends were amici.
Such factionalism tends to spell the death of the republican form of government - one can't make common cause with blood enemies.
Can you imagine if we had a mass unveiling? They're already paranoid. If we all came out at once, they'd have to be euthanized ....:)
By being the "Bullgoose Looney" and playing the inmates against each other.
Heheh the funny thing is I've got two accounts that are approaching their oh so valued 1000 plus status and they have no idea it is one guy who constantly gets the Greenies banging on the Democrats in some knock down drag out flame wars for his own perverse pleasure.
LOL! I love it. You go MD!
It got many many replies and many of the posters agreed that they would. Many more still could not agree to support our troops at all. In the end the thread got pulled and I could not save it. It is a pity.
You think Osama bin Laden hates America? Not half as much as democrats do.
God Bless you and your son.
Semper Fi
I'd like to see those. Give me a PING when you post 'em, purdy please.
I disagree. This is our true enemy. The jihadists hate America but not half as much as democrats do. I don't believe the average American would want to associate himself with dems if he knew this is how they are "among themselves". In order to understand and fight this evil, it is necessary to go over there in hip waders, haul up those slimy bastards out of their muck and slime and show the American public that this is the filthy heart of the modern democratic party.
