FR you seem to be developing a blind spot, at least with regard the Terri Schiavo case.

Can osteoporosis cause problems in young women now, or do problems appear only later in life?

Stress fractures can and do occur in young women with osteoporosis. These are subtle bone fractures that occur as a result of repetitive stress over time in which bone is unable to withstand the demands placed on it. For people with weak bones from osteoporosis, these fractures can occur from normal repetitive activities such as jogging.

Later in life, severe bone problems can occur. Women may develop rounded backs, lose inches in height from collapsed vertebrae, and suffer serious fractures of the back, hip and other bones. These effects of osteoporosis permanently cripple some women.

Can osteoporosis in young women be treated?

Osteoporosis is often not totally reversible, so prevention and early detection with aggressive treatment are crucial.

The most important and well-documented treatment for osteoporosis associated with low weight is to restore and maintain normal bodyweight and menstrual periods. Calcium and vitamin D supplements are important, but estrogen and a normal weight must also be present for optimal incorporation of calcium into bones. Physical activity leads to increased bone density, when performed in the presence of normal menstrual periods.

Terri's history of weight problems, her reported bulimia, her lack of menses, go hand in glove with the diagnosis of osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is diagnosed in girls (young women) in their mid teens. Especially those with eating didorders.

From what I recall Pinellas is one of two Fl counties receiving funds for this program. I wonder if the Judges on the Committee receive payment. Regardless, Greer should be outta there!!!!

What is it with you, daylate? You seem to have a vested interest in putting us off any investigation of possible foul play in Terri's initial medical trauma 13 years ago. You're flinging a lot of stuff at us to that end and don't seem to have much to say about any other aspect of the case. Why is this part & this part alone so important to you? If you are correct, surely there is nothing to fear from a proper investigation being done & tha need not protest so much.
Unless I have missed something previously posted, you have avoided addressing yourself to the most immediate & urgent issue: saving Terri from cold-blooded, pre-meditated murder. Or perhaps you don't think she should be saved?

So, it was well known that Terri had odd bruises before that fateful night, and that her husband had a vicious temper. If her bones were fragile, that much the easier to be broken in violence. This does not excuse him.

No, "if" he beat her and she suffered injury, he deserves the blame, even if her bones were weak and thus she suffered worse than a "normal" woman would. Circumstantial evidence is very strong that he did beat her. The whole kill-Terri drive, as well as you, stinks like week-dead mackerel.

P.S. By the way, as to your speculation about why I didn't post yesterday, you are way off target. It is not unusual for me not to post on Sunday. I go to church and after services I donate my time to help out in the office or ongoing church projects. A review of the posts made here yesterday would indicate that there are more than a few that are not similarily constrained.

So easy for you to generalize, assume, and state with such authority. That doesn't make it so. I've never seen it reported anywhere that Terri had the extreme amount of weightloss to classify her as anorexic. Bulimia is not the same as Anorexia Nervosa.

That night of feb 24th, 1990 at @ ______ hrs, Terri was at her best frien home (Jackie Rhoades). Jackie and terri talked about many things, and that night They were both concerned about MS, jackie tryed to keep Terri from going home that night, but Terri still went home, thinking she would go to sleep and aviod MS that night, but it didn't happen, because by 4AM Terri life was almost taken that moment.

MS, stated on L.K. that he got home at approx 2 AM...from work, but MS worked at McDonalds, which closes at approx 11 pm (Most do), so let's say it closed at @ 11pm, and MS got home at 2AM + , where was he for 3 hours ?, if that's the case ?

The bar, nightclub, or girlfriend apt ?
Does he drink ?, do drugs ? or both ???

Was he stoned that night on something ???

was brought into hospital will show that Terri HAD BRUISES AROUND HER NECK !!!! according to Bob...

The X-ray report proves this....it confirms it.....1+1+1+1+1+1, on and on it goes....the facts are here....and yet there's NO INVESTIGATION , OMG !!!
