Why are the FR threads relating Kurdish claims of help in Saddam capture being pulled?

Early FR threads in the report of Saddam' capture came from Kurdish sources.
Now articles are emerging claiming Kurdish aid in Saddams capture, reports that call into question the veracity US claims.
Why are these threads being yanked?

Because people keep posting the same ones over and over as if they were brand new, maybe?
Since there are several threads on this topic, I don't know how you can say they're all being yanked.

Today's report from the Sydney Herald was just yanked.

Because 6 different stories that are nothing but a news source's report of another news source's report of an uncorroborated statement have little value?
If the Kurds really got Saddam and drugged him,
1) Why did he have $750,000 in cash?
2) Why did he have a pistol?
3) Why were there two bodyguards with AKs?
4) Why did he still have a briefcase of papers?
5) Why was there a piece left big enough that it wouldn't pass through a 1" sieve?

Thanks. Even possible conspiracy theories need to be aired! They still stink of psychotic arabist delusion even after being "aired".

These stries are showing up now because some tall tales take longer to cook up and the spin-meisters weren't ready for this.
Every major event is followed by the tin hat crowd releasing their version of it. Why would we be suprised if they didn't come up with some wild claims.
The liberals have everything riding on this....it would be strange if they didn't dome out with some outlandish theories that are tuned up to sound believeable.

Because 6 different stories that are nothing but a news source's report of another news source's report of an uncorroborated statement have little value? Not to mention that the "story" was originally fabricated by a former Al Jazeera reporter now writing for a British tabloid. There's not a single reason to give the story the slightest hint of credence, and many reasons (as you note) not to, even before we get to the matter of the comparative credibility of Pentagon officials (not to mention in-country commanders with direct responsibility) versus al-Jazeerians.

Thanks SM and good morning.
Zarf,
All it would have taken was 2 seconds for you to do a search and see that there were several threads up on the subject and would have shown to you that "threads" were not being pulled. Next time, take those two seconds.
One thread on the subject came down, but it was not pulled because of the thread. It was pulled because the person who posted the thread was nuked, which removes all of that person's postings. Why was this person nuked? Here is what he was pushing on FR (other than posting that thread. And I am bleeping out some language and a URL here.)
We have a forum at DWF with categories like Movies, Music, Feminine Mystique (girly stuff), Testosterone Zone (cars, beer, babes), B****B****B****, LoveShack as well as Random Images and "Mature Audiences" Images. If you like that sort of thing visit DWF or http://*******.com for humor, music, babes, forum, games, comix, monty python and so very very very much more.

Now I'll be forced to be in a good mood the rest of the day.
