. I could possibly see that (600 miles) happening if it was a truly huge eruption (krakatoa sized at least).
Yellowstone and Krakatoa are both Calderas.

Is there some point that anyone can find that this echo is making. Just wondering, the echo thinks itself clever and funny and it's really quite pathetic to watch..

San Diego is barely 500 miles, I believe, from the future epicenter

DIV class=b2>That date roughly corresponds to the next crisis in the book the Fourth Turning. Assuming that 9/11 wasn't the crisis.
Ah, the Fourth Turning - great theory! (I read their earlier Generations.) The turnings don't have anything to do with numerology or fixed physical cycles; rather more the average length of a human generation x 4.
I think our generational crisis was clearly 9/11. What makes it a generational crisis is that it's an event that triggers a sea change in generational attitudes, which had been gathering already. It's not the crisis itself, necessarily, that defines the generational turnings. It's how the dominant generation reacts to it. When a generation is primed to cause a turning, sooner or later some crisis comes along that the generation responds to in a fundamental way, as opposed to brushing it under the rug.
Presumably if 9/11 had happened at a different point in the cycle, it would have been treated as merely a huge criminal act, like some on the left wanted, instead of the opening shot of WWIII, which it really is.

Yes, I agree with you totally. Although last fourth turning included both WWII and the Great Depression so I just wonder if 9/11 was it or if there is more. Let's hope that is all there is.

Mild Earthquakes Hit Northwest Wyoming
The Associated Press
Published: Jan 7, 2004
JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - A series of mild earthquakes shook northwest Wyoming near Grand Teton National Park early Wednesday. There were no reports of damage.
The strongest quake, at 12:51 a.m., registered a magnitude of 4.7 and was centered about 19 miles east-northeast of Jackson, said John Minsch, a seismologist with the U.S. Geological Survey in Golden, Colo.
It was followed by quakes of 3.7, 4.1 and 4.0, and a number of smaller temblors below 3.0. The last in the series was reported at 2:23 a.m.
"It woke a lot of people up from their sleep," said Kimberly Mullikin of the Teton County Sheriff's Department. "There's no damage that I have heard of from anybody."
Earthquakes are common in Yellowstone National Park, just north of the epicenter, but it was not clear whether Wednesday's quakes were related to the seismic activity there, Minsch said.
The quakes were not felt at Yellowstone headquarters, about 90 miles to the north, a dispatcher said.

Havoc should be coming in with some ground temperature readings form the Norris Geyser area any minute now . .
