Bush's immigration plan: Stop this idiocy

President Bush today is expected to propose an expansive new immigration policy. It is a mistake. And the Congress should consider it dead on arrival.

The Bush plan, another in a long line of administration political panders, conveniently comes in advance of next week's Summit of the Americas in Monterrey, Mexico.

Man came on Michael Savage's program last night and stated, as a point of contention, that Irish, Italian, etc. immigrants of the 19th century would be considered illegals if they faced current immigration rules.

False argument correction: 19th Century did not have SS, Medicare, Free College, Fed. Food Stamp, free hospitazlization, plus all other programs offered by state and local gov't.. In other words, immigrants of 19th century would bankrupt economy instantly if social architects (aka socialists/communists) lived and controlled power back then.

This is an absolutely illegal act! This is an absolutely insane policy that will destroy America. BTW, illegals can underbid anyone and still walk away with a better profit than legals.

Look, all this is just a great political move by GWB to enforce his "Compassionate Conservativatism", which helped him win the first time. You might be right although I'd have a hard time with us honoring any commitments to that crook who was forced to flee Mexico after they discovered him looting the treasury among other misdeeds.
