R. Emmett Tyrrell's New Book: Madame Hillary
Annotated by Mia T

1.29.04

Madame Hillary
Tyrrell, R. Emmett with Mark Davis

"This is a woman who's been first lady, who's lived in the White House and shared power with a president," says one of Hillary's fellow Senators. "Her ambition is not the Senate leadership. . . . It's obvious she has a much greater goal in mind. Her ambition is the White House, with all the moves to prepare the way." Now, R. Emmett Tyrrell and Mark Davis reveal in Madame Hillary: The Road to the White House that not only is Hillary determined to be President: she has the power, the influence, and the determination to attain that goal.

Tyrrell's American Spectator magazine was one of the Bill Clinton administration's most formidable opponents. For eight solid years it remained a persistent (as well as a devastatingly perceptive and witty) obstacle to the Clintons' attempts to hoodwink the public and whitewash their own corruption. Now Tyrrell, the author of Boy Clinton, has Hillary in his sights again! He reveals that her focus from the first day in the Senate (and long before that as well) has been to capture the presidency - and as a Senator puts it: "She's more disciplined than in the White House, and more poisonously partisan than Bill."

Tyrrell details her plans to capture the presidency -- with help from the liberal media establishment, which continues to treat her adoringly and ignore uncomfortable questions about her record. With an insider's access to Hillary's Senate colleagues and other key players, he examines in detail several strategies she may use to win. He also explains how she distorts the Clinton administration's sorry record in order to position herself for her own run for the Oval Office, forecasts the damage that a President Hillary might inflict upon the nation - and best of all, shows how she can be stopped. A sampling of what you'll discover:

  • The Basic Hillary: abundant evidence that this hero of the Left is in fact little more than a controlling personality and a self-promoting dynamo

  • Why Bill Clinton's decision to run for President in 1992 was the most brilliant choice the Clintons ever made -- and how Hillary plans to duplicate it in 2004 or 2008

  • 2004 or 2008? Why, despite intense pressure from some of the Democratic party's heaviest hitters to run in 2004, 2008 looks like Hillary's best chance (although that could change quickly)

  • How Hillary did all she could through 2003 to detract, distract, and denigrate her party's presidential hopefuls -- including trying to keep wll-heeled Democrats from supporting other candidates financially, thereby keeping her options open for 2004

  1. Privately encourage/sponsor most -- (I don't think Kucinich, Graham and Sharpton were on the clinton short list) -- of the dwarfs. (Group dynamics, if not political reflex, will ensure a mutual kill.)

  2. Insert clinton "infrastructure" operatives in dwarf staff positions (strictly as loaners) to ensure (a) that the dwarfs stick to clinton playbook and, equally important, (b) that no dwarf actually wins the presidency.

  3. Script and direct playbook, which is, basically, bash Bush, bash the war, (look stupid, look weak, look irrational, i.e., be the foil for HILLARY!).

  4. Continuously loop steps 1-3 even as the missus undermines the dwarfs by playing the hawk... and the military ("the easy part") expert, (Remember Al From!)... and the patriot... and The (Over-The-Hill) Rock Star... while the co-rapist keeps everything on his end (relatively) zipped.

To praise Kerry... or to bury him?

by Mia T, 1.27.04

After spending the best part of a year listening to the Democrats' strolling minstrels strumming their way round the White Mountains, I'm staggered by how little any of them have to say. If you go to a Kerry rally -- something of an oxymoron, but let that pass -- the senator's stump speech is a karaoke tape of floppo populist boilerplate. If he'd downloaded it for free from the internet, that'd be one thing. Instead, he paid a small fortune to hotshot consultant Bob Shrum, who promptly faxed over the same old generic guff he keeps in the freezer: "I (insert name here) will never stop fighting for ordinary people against the powerful interests that stand in your way."

This shtick worked so well for Shrum's previous clients - President Dick Gephardt (1988), President Bob Kerrey (1992), President Al Gore (2000) and President Insert Namehere (2008) that he evidently sees no reason why it shouldn't elect a fifth president this time round. Throw in a few mandatory sneering references to Enron, Halliburton and Attorney-General John Ashcroft plus a handful of local hard-luck stories of doubtful general application -- "47-year-old Arlene Claxton of Hooksett worked 20 years to build up her hairdressing business only to contract a rare skin disease from a conditioner manufactured overseas by corporations George W Bush has given tax breaks to in order to export American jobs abroad to jurisdictions lacking environmental safeguards thanks to a sweetheart deal negotiated by a lobbyist for Halliburton and then learnt that her health insurer wouldn't cover the cost of treatment because etc etc."

Sen John Edwards, the pretty-boy southern lawyer, does a much better job of this sort of thing. I caught him at Gorham Town Hall way up in the mountains on Saturday morning. It was a brutally cold morning -- 40 degrees below freezing -- but the place was packed and we all came away enthused, unlike at a Kerry rally where you come away trying not to think about why you're not enthused. Next to the groggy, haggard Kerry, Edwards has a fabulous, glowing complexion....

Mark Steyn: Knowns, unknowns and the Ketchup Kid
The Telegraph (U.K.) | 01/27/04

erry's problem isn't "haggard."

"Haggard" is electable. (See LBJ.) "Cadaveric" is not, at least not outside of Hawaii.

And Kerry's dissonant new "do," like the mortician's careful coif, only enhances the funereal gloom. One has to wonder if Shrum was brought in (dispatched?) to praise Kerry... or to bury him....

RAPIST SHOWING LEG:
An Extension of
the clinton Complex-Question Fallacy Scheme

by Mia T, 9-19-03

he missus clinton-Wesley Clark spectacle, in any permutation or combination, is as much about delusions of grandeur (with sabotage the fallback position) as about anything else.

This is not to say that missus clinton latching onto the general is an aberration. Historically, zipper-hoisted corruption has been the sole missus clinton method of achieving any semblance of upward mobility... or, as Susan Estrich last night so pointedly put it: "hillary clinton is unelectable."

hillary talks:
L'Etat, c'est moi! (Iowa parsed)

(viewing movie requires Flash Player 6, available HERE)

The clinton calculus, that the clintons' utter failure, which unleashed global terror, would be neutralized (or at least mitigated) by any general -- and no less by a general who, himself, exudes critical elements of clinton dysfunction -- is ludicrous on its face and yet another example of that unique brand of clinton rube arrogance rooted in stupidity.

Missus-clinton-flirting-to-run-by-proxy -- the rapist is the one showing leg -- is merely an extension of the original clinton Complex-Question Fallacy Scheme. (With her legs and political skills, the bait and switch is perfectly understandable.)

And the leftist media, like a homely, desperate old maid, is falling for it.

The clintons are betting that media desperation, coupled with her late entry-- and of course, the old clinton standbys, access journalism and plain intimidation -- will militate against any serious vetting of the little missus.

The clinton Complex-Question Fallacy Scheme notwithstanding, it is axiomatic and confirmed on a daily basis by clinton "infrastructure" strategy alone that hillary ("listening tour" / cozy-clintonoid-interviews-of-the-Colmes-kind) clinton is no better than Howard Dean at withstanding media scrutiny... and is likely significantly worse.

From this it follows that hillary clinton cannot survive the standard, lengthy, probing presidential-campaign process. An end run is her only option.

And contrary to conventional wisdom, time is not on her side. Not only are the clintons in general decline, not only is she vulnerable in '06, but in this post-9/11 world,

as more clinton failures and betrayals are documented,

increasingly favorable demographics will prove insufficient to resuscitate disfavored, dysfunctional, dangerous democrat demagogues like the clintons.

Look, therefore, for the clintons to make their move in '04. Susan Estrich, Al From and The Times aren't on the same "Get the clintons off the stage!" page for no reason.

issus clinton failed to notice: 'living history' begets a certain symmetry. How fitting it is that the clintons were forced to reveal their inept and treasonous hand on this day, exactly 62 years post Pearl Harbor.

One has to surmise from hillary clinton's Sunday-Circuit, pink-suited panic that clinton in-house polling has the missus out-polling Jane Fonda for the Tokyo-Rose prize.

(Incidentally, someone ought to clue in clinton's dresser: exculpation-by-pink-suit can work only once; notwithstanding, a treasonous middle-aged matron in a pink suit reads: "dowdy treasonous middle-aged matron in pink suit"... or to the sharper subset, "fatuous dowdy treasonous middle-aged matron in pink suit attempts ingÈnue exculpation ploy." What could they be thinking? Surely, clinton "infrastructure" knows that such a scheme requires freshness of face, not mouth....)

It is common knowledge that missus clinton limits the frequency, intensity and content of her cozy clintonoid interviews of the Colmes kind. Tim Russert's (Meet the Press, NBC) stomach-turning HILLARY 2004! boosterism and nonexistent follow-ups ("And why do you suppose there aren't enough troops to fight a war, missus CLINTON?") made it clear that she had the latter two -- intensity and content -- covered today. It was frequency that did her in.

Tokyo Rose also aided and abetted our enemies by using psychological warfare designed to lower the morale of our troops; and she was convicted of treason. One could easily argue that clinton's betrayal, because it is ultimately self-serving, is an even greater iniquity. And then, of course, there are the clintons' other self-serving treasonous acts....

Russert, therefore, was not only on the wrong page. He was in the wrong book.

The question isn't,
"Who in his right mind would ever want the clintons back in the Oval Office?"

The question is,--
"Who in his right mind would want the seditious,
America-undermining clintons unconfined?"

Hypocrisy abounds in this Age of Clinton, a Postmodern Oz rife with constitutional deconstruction and semantic subversion, a virtual surreality polymarked by presidential alleles peccantly misplaced or, in the case of Jefferson posthumously misappropriated...

Mia T, THE OTHER NIXON

Yesterday, Daniel Patrick Moynihan died. Today, the clintons are arrogating his soul. Hardly surprising. In 1999, the clintons were not at all shy about seizing his still-warm senate seat.

One has merely to recall the Jefferson double-helix hoax to understand that posthumous misappropriation is, for the obvious reason, the clintons' preferred method of legacy inflation….

Standard-Issue clintonism

If misappropriation of Jefferson's alleles hinged on a broken line of descent, misappropriation of Moynihan's endorsement depends on a broken line of dissent. Like Sally Hemmings' progeny, Moynihan's later acquiescence is of dubious lineage

The Democratic Party's Problem Transcends Its Anti-War Contingent2

If Act I was a thinly veiled allegory about naked clintonism, then Act II is a parable about the plan for world domination by the Establishment, aged hippies in pinstripes all, with their infantile, solipsistic world view amazingly untouched by time.

Mia T, THE ALIENS

l From is sounding the alarm. "Unless we convince Americans that Democrats are strong on national security," he warns his party, "Democrats will continue to lose elections."

Helloooo? That the Democrats have to be spoon-fed what should be axiomatic post-9/11 is, in and of itself, incontrovertible proof that From's advice is insufficient to solve their problem.

From's failure to fully lay out the nature of the Democrats' problem is not surprising: he is the guy who helped seal his party's fate. It was his Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) that institutionalized the proximate cause of the problem, clintonism, and legitimized its two eponymic provincial operators on the national stage. The "Third Way" and "triangulation" don't come from the same Latin root for no reason.

That "convince" is From's operative word underscores the Democrats' dilemma. Nine-eleven was transformative. It is no longer sufficient merely to convince. One must demonstrate, demonstrate convincingly, if you will… which means both in real time and historically.

When it comes to national security, Americans will no longer take any chances. Turning the turn of phrase back on itself, the era of the Placebo President is over. (Incidentally, the oft-quote out-of-context sentence fragment alluded to here transformed meaningless clinton triangulation into a meaningful if deceptive soundbite.)

Although From is loath to admit it -- the terror in his eyes belies his facile solution -- the Democratic party's problem transcends its anti-war contingent.

With a philosophy that relinquishes our national sovereignty -- and relinquishes it reflexively… and to the UN no less -- the Democratic party is, by definition, the party of national insecurity.

With policy ruled by pathologic self-interest -- witness the "Lieberman Paradigm," Kerry's "regime change" bon mot (gone bad), Edwards' and the clintons' brazen echoes thereof (or, alternatively, Pelosi's less strident wartime non-putdown putdown)… and, of course, the clincher -- eight years of the clintons' infantilism, grotesquerie and utter failure -- the Democratic party is, historically and in real time, the party of national insecurity.

The Democrats used to be able to wallpaper their national insecurity with dollars and demogoguery. But that was before 9/11.

ADDENDUM 12.13.03:

As for pathologic self-interest, check out Richard Miniter's C-SPAN interview; the interview is contained in my latest virtual hillary movie (below), hillary talks:ON TERROR; it is absolutely devastating for the clintons. Miniter lays out in sickening detail the clintons' monumental failure to protect America.

Note in particular Madeleine Albright's shocking reason given at the time of the USS Cole attack why the clinton administration should not respond militarily. It tell us everything we need to know about the clintons. It tell us why clinton redux is an absolutely suicidal notion.

Notwithstanding their cowardice, corruption, perfidy and essential stupidity, the clintons, according to Albright, made their decision not to go after the terrorists primarily to enhance their own legacy and power. The clintons calculated that such inaction would MAXIMIZE THEIR CHANCES TO RECEIVE THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. No matter that that inaction would also maximize the terrorists' power, maximize America's danger.

  • Abortion: how Hillary's unbending support for legalized abortion may actually end up hurting her chances to become President -- and her clever attempts to recast her support for abortion as an anti-Big Government position

  • President Hillary: how she would be likely to govern -- and what conservatives will have to do in order to survive

There's a great deal at stake in Hillary's quest for the presidency. Says an Arkansas politician: "Hillary is the ideologue, the true-blue leftist." Packed with eye-opening facts and incisive insights, Madame Hillary proves conclusively that a Hillary victory in 2004 or 2008 would be an unmitigated disaster for our nation, doing damage that would take generations to repair. As Tyrrell puts it, "Freedom is the cause. And we need to show that if Madame Hillary loses, freedom wins." Madame Hillary gives you the ammunition you need to do just that.

We arrived in Accra, the capital of Ghana, on March 23, 1998, to a welcome by the largest crowd I had ever seen. More than half a million people gathered in the searing heat in Independence Square to hear Bill speak. I had loved traveling with Bill ever since he took me to England and France in 1973. He rose to every public occasion, delighted in meeting strangers, and had a vast appetite for new experiences.

Standing on the stage and facing the immense crowd, he told me to look behind us at the rows of tribal kings who were decked out in vibrant robes and festooned with gold jewelry. He squeezed my hand.
"We're a long way from Arkansas, little Hi'ry."

I've got that one in my Clinton Collection, too -- and will probably add this one. Though I have to admit that my most treasured books are the ones Barbara Olson wrote. I really miss her. :(

Every time you post these images of "Hillary Talks," birds, squirrels and other small creatures leave my yard. Everything except Crows and Buzzards, that is.

Those pictures of her ARE VERY FRIGHTENING. VERY FRIGHTENING.

I lament that most of the media is so sick, liberal, socialist, just downright lying ba*tards, so very influential and evil that they will easily succeed in making her President. Which should just go to show everyone what a sick country this is. 90 to 95% of American voters have no idea how much the media hides from them. Hillary is a perfect example. It's sick.

And no one ever wants to name these evil media operators. It has always gotten me in trouble, so I must stop.

...And every time hillary walks by, all the little people -- and other small creatures -- quickly head for cover.

"When 'Queen Hillary' walks down the hall, you're not supposed to look at her. You're actually supposed to go into an office if there is one nearby. She doesn't want staff 'seeing' her. And I know she sure as hell doesn't want to meet you or any other staffer!" "You have to be kidding me!" John replied. "No, we got the word at a staff meeting. It's true. Look around. Do you see anyone else in the hall?" John looked around and sure enough people were starting to emerge, like prarie dogs peeking out of their burrows after a hawk had flown past.

Hey Mia T,

Love your post!

Have you considered that for the 2004 election, if a dem is anywhere near beating Bush she can run as number two then use section 4 of the 25th amendment?

This may be where all those raw FBI files on democrats and her fund raising prowness come in handy. If it's Clark he's probably already aware of this possible strategy.

Insert here my one, constant prayer for the Clintons ...

That the Lord would render the Clintons, and all their minions, powerless and voiceless and nameless and faceless and useless and homeless and penniless ... such is their evil ... and that He would strip them bare before the world, leaving only their immortal souls, and it is for these souls I pray ...

--HRC

A penny for your thoughts on that sentence, Doug! ;-D

Great job as always, Mia! From what I heard, these "Madame Hillary" books were flying off the shelves at CPAC. Everyone seemed to have one tucked under their arm.

According to the Globe tabloid, he had an appetite for over a hundred new experiences. Great work, Mia. I have to get the book. We are proceeding with PROJECT HILLARY and hope it can have an impact.

YIKES!

Uma shines at Charity Auction
Wed Jan 28, 7:49 AM ET
Matthew Stinchcomb
Fashion Wire Daily

January 28, 2004 - New York - This past Monday, Uma Thurman, Princess Alexandra of Greece, and Infinity Broadcasting chairman, John Sykes, hosted a charity auction at Christie?s NY, with all proceeds going to benefit Room to Grow, a nonprofit devoted to enriching the lives of babies born into poverty. This annual event always brings out the stars, and boy, were they shining bright this year. A dapper John Leguziamo canoodled with longtime gal pal, Justine Maurer; while America?s princess, Hillary Rodham Clinton, extended the royal welcome to Princess Alexandra of Greece. Hostess Uma Thurman was resplendent as always, while Ken?s Brother, Ric Burns, was also there?

Perhaps the only things more fantastic than the celebs were the one-of-a-kind items in the live auction. Imagine bidding to have Carly Simon personally write and record a song for you. Well, if you had ponied up the big bucks you would have seen first-hand that, ?Nobody Does It Better? than she. How about a Wynton Marsalis concert in the privacy of your own home? Or taking in dinner and a Knicks game with Bob Costas? Sure it ?Costas? a whole bunch of money, but hey it?s for charity, and that was what was truly fantastic about this night.

I started reading the Spectator back when President Jimmy was ruining the country. Tyrrell's wit and razor sharp attacks built more allegiance to conservative principles in me than almost anyone else I can recall. Not because he had more facts or insight on human affairs, but because he fought - with style. Erudition aside, Tyrrell cuts like a broken beer bottle and can hit like a freight train.

Ann Coulter, no doubt, is doing the same for another generation. You have a seat among these, too, Mia. Your constant creativity and ceaseless archiving have proven many times to be a source for precious information that we all know is being swept away and ignored. You get up and shout, girl!

Before Tyrrell took over the Spectator, Buckley ran the show. Of course, Bill was the iconic conservative for decades, predictably shown like a porcelain knick-knack on grandma's table when the media wanted a 'conservative' view. Of course, there was always Barry Goldwater to mock and Nixon to demonize, but Buckley was a well-mannered, house-trained conservative. He came on your show or he wrote an article and he didn't piss on the floor or upset the canapé tray. The sad fact is that Buckley really only connected with conservatives, not the average American, because he dealt with ideology and the drier realms of theory and fact. To his credit, in an age of carelessness and unlimited government growth, he offered no catchy slogan or happy-face promises. Sadly, at the same time, there was precious little effort to bite his lying handlers.

Theory is important. Facts are too. But in a sound-bite culture, especially one where the forces or good are taught that loud-mouthed insistence is a bad thing, taking the high-ground of humble meekness and promoting rarified debate is a losing proposition played across the entire population. The nuclear weapon of the conservative movement is to package the corruption of the left into easily digestible packets and launch them from as many vehicles as possible. In the mainstream media, this takes cajones to shout-down being shouted-down. It takes a willingness to deal in kind - nothing less.

In a related vein, the fearful silence of targeted Jews and a willingness to appease, or ignore, what was actually going on contributed to the atmosphere that resulted in the deaths of millions at the hands of another Leftist regime in Nazi Germany. One organization, Jews For the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (http://www.jpfo.org/), clearly understands this relationship and is dedicated to the proposition that it won't happen again - ever. In a million other ways, this attitude is working itself out across the political spectrum.

To my thinking, one of the greatest problems remaining is the conservative reticence to attack. Somehow, restraint is tangled up with some misguided notions of courtesy or decorum. I am grateful for fighters and in-your-face conservatives, many of whom reside here on FR, who are dedicated to political action where the rubber meets the road. There is a time and place for tact, but during a war (as we are in) tact plays a lesser role than the brute mechanics of meeting a threat and destroying it.

The key thing is that attack, at this time or our nation's history, is not aggression - IT IS SELF DEFENSE.

During the Reagan years, I came across a photo of a young man in Latin America in the act of hurling a Molotov cocktail. His shirt-tail was flying and his throwing arm was wound back and ready to fire. The rag in the bottle was flaming and trailing sooty black smoke. What got my attention was the clear label on the bottle - Pepsi. I copied the picture and titled it: "The Choice of a New Generation." To me, that photo (long disappeared) is what it is all about.

Somewhere along the line, ideals become worth fighting for. Somewhere along the line, fighting goes from the rhetorical, to activism, and finally, to open combat. The dedication of the enemy - those who embody the forces of evil - raises the ante. The mettle of the just meets the ante and calls the hand. As everyone knows, we are in the activism stage of resistance. I am glad that we have an able generation of leaders that are willing to take the fight where it needs to go.

Thank you, Mia, for being part of the choice of a new generation.

I don't think it is quite accurate to refer to Hillary Rotten Clinton as a former First Lady, because Hitlery is no lady. A more appropriate term would be the former First Madam, like in the Madam of the Clinton White House of Ill Repute.

Coyotes howl in my neighborhood.

Another Mia T tour deforce. Brilliant. And scary.

Hillary has the monstrous heart and the soul of a mass-murderer. She must never be allowed to take the office of he presidency. If she succeeds, the ensuing conflict will make Saddam's regime look like a Girl Scout picnic.
