PRESIDENT CLINTON VIDEO, December 16, 1998 Sadaam has nuclear arms, poison gas/bio weapons.

PRESIDENT CLINTON: Good evening. Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors.

Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world.

Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.

I want to explain why I have decided, with the unanimous recommendation of my national security team, to use force in Iraq; why we have acted now; and what we aim to accomplish.

"...from Senator John D. Rockefeller IV"

Thanks, eyespysomething! We've got both Rockefellers now. More grist for the mill.

That was interesting. First they said it was a longitude/latitude input error. Then they said they didn't know that the Embassy had moved their offices.

No one has said boo about how much damage that cyanide block could do. Not for nothing, but I personally call it a stockpile regardless of its compactness. Considering where it was found, the intention was certainly not for manufacturing processes.

P.S. One should not forget that previous to the war, Saddam was working at having the sanctions lifted, thereby getting rid of the UN. This was hot and heavy in 1999 and continued into the Bush administration. One way or another, the US would likely be fighting another war. Despite our losses, I think we saved a lot of lives, both soldiers and innocents "somewhere".

Folks- Email this speech along with the link to CNN, CBS, NBC, DNC.org, Move On .org, etc.

Let them know we are not going to forget Klinton's position on Iraq.

Just reading back thru that speech and found this little gem:

We also have to acknowledge that any military operations against Saddam Hussein pose potential risks to our own homeland, too. Saddam’s government has contact with many international terrorist organizations that likely have cells here in the United States.

Now how can the leading Democrat on the Intelligence Committee say this , and other Demonic Rats say that there is no connection between Saddam and the terrorists?

And we have this recent item:

U.S. Says Files Seek Qaeda Aid in Iraq Conflict

AND his words were has contact with many international terrorist organizations.....

Great stuff.

This and everything that is coming out about Kerry's long standing hatred of America since his Nam days, show the power of the internet in the hands of the Freepers.

No longer can the left wing say something years ago and not get confronted with it.

Hey Meek,

How about pinging this?:
“We also have to acknowledge that any military operations against Saddam Hussein pose potential risks to our own homeland, too. Saddam’s government has contact with many international terrorist organizations that likely have cells here in the United States. “ ~ President Clinton , Dec. 16, 1998<

Great web site.

Are you the token conservative in Cannon Beach.

Years ago we looked various towns on the Oregon Coast for a possible retirement.

My wife fell in love with CB as she is an artsy type of conservative.

On a second trip our younger son stayed with us for 4 days. He is a recovering enviral whacko living in the Portland area for over a decade.

He and I tried to find conservatives who lived in the area. We failed. This was during the Monica mess and the ChiCom donations to the Clintoons.

So CB was cancelled as a possibility.

It is a beautiful area.
