Islamic radicals are being trained at terrorist camps in Pakistan and Kashmir as part of a conspiracy to send hundreds of operatives to "sleeper cells" in the United States, according to U.S. and foreign officials.

The intelligence and law-enforcement officials say dozens of Islamic extremists have already been routed through Europe to Muslim communities in the United States, based on secret intelligence data and information from terrorists and others detained by U.S. authorities.

"U.S. intelligence officials said the camps, located in the remote regions of western Pakistan and in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, are financed in part by various terrorist networks, including al Qaeda, and by sources in Saudi Arabia. Actually kind of hard to believe since we are flying everywhere over this country and have been for two plus years. We have it mapped out to a fare thee well by now. We may not own it but we know the topography. The camps must be stealth camps with cloaks of invisibility

actually they are probably in the tribal area of Pakistan where the gubmint has no pull whatsoever and leaves alone because they will overthrow the gubmint if they bother em.

Overfly or not, those facists operate freely there.

I thought John Kerry was going to fix the problem and make the terrorists like us? Didn't I read a letter he wrote to the Iranian newspapers saying he was going to restore the love. </ sarcasm> :)

But U.S. and foreign intelligence authorities said terrorist training camps have been documented in some of western Pakistan's remote areas and in the disputed regions of Kashmir, and that military officials and others in the Musharraf government have not fully disassociated themselves from al Qaeda or the former Taliban regime in Afghanistan.

This issue has been addressed and will be solved.....The Bush Doctrine. Remember?

No he thinks we evil Republicans, and President Bush made up all this terrorist stuff to get oil for Haliburton, and to oppress people of color, and to hide the fact that Prez was AWOL from the NG, and jsut so we wouldn't let him play Commander in Chief.

The solution to this should be simple --

Stop granting visas to people from countries where they want to kill us and seal our borders against illegal immigrants. Anyone from a country where a significant part of the populace or the government want to kill Americans, who is here legally or otherwise should have to go home now.

Unfortunately, most of those in our government view our borders as anachronisms that serve no purpose other than to inhibit the free flow of commerce.

How many more of us have to die before the elites and our leaders figure out that the nation state is still the best solution for organizing a civilization?

FYI - "Financed in part by millions of dollars solicited by an extensive network of bogus charities and foundations, the cells use [U.S.] Muslim communities as cover and places to raise cash and recruit sympathizers."

We need to crack down on these organizations, and stop hiding behind political correctness as a reason for inactness.

I listened to Pipes lecture a couple days ago. He stated in no uncertain terms that we will have to be hit hard before the administration will do anything serious about islamic terrorism. He calls this (quoting) "Education by murder."

Until 10,000 or 100,000 die, which the muslims are more than willing to murder, bush won't act substantively.
