Pure election year theater. They can all go back and claim whatever sells in their states, and there is nothing to really blame on anyone.

They stayed on that "middle course" until they found a chance to turn as hard left as they could, then they turned. This conclusively proves Kerry and whomever his VP candidate is will be just as fanatically determined to take all of our guns as the Clintons were and are.

Joe and fellow patriots, I have to say yesterday was a low point for me. I'm quite frustrated with our politicians who have such difficulty understanding the Constitution. Gallup says 61% (if memory serves) want "stronger gun laws." The sheep are led astray... The wolves are waiting for us.

Yesterday was a tense day for me when the amendments started passing. I was making so many phone calls to DC to request the Bill be killed, that I couldn't keep track of whose office I was dialing.

When it finally was killed it felt as if someone had taked the semi truck off of my chest and I could once again breathe a sigh of relief.

Waking up this morning I laid in bed wondering if my 60 or so phone call actually had an effect on what happened on the Senate floor.

It did make it happen..........I have added my congresscritters to my speed dial on my phone and fax . Yesterday and tomorrow it will need to get done again and again as long as folks keep voting in RINOS and RATS to office.

Get ready to do it many times before and after the elections.

Once a year, during recess I'll put on one of my overly expensive suits and just drop in on them. A quiet conversation with the Rep. and a couple of staff managers, a few thousand $$ later, they'll remember my name for another year.

Yup, it doesn't look good. I am afraid we are headed for a revolution or a civil war, and I do not say that lightly. It's bound to happen, sooner or later (I think sooner, in this case). The country is too polarized. The Left has unleashed an all-out assault on everything moral and honorable and just that freedom loving and God-believing Americans hold dear. The conflict is now inevitable: The anger and the distrust and the contempt the two sides have for each other is not only palpable, it's bursting at the seams. It will be an interesting conflict. God help us.

Well that's the problem ....Gallup needs to giddyup and refine their poll skills. The Squantos poll yesterday said 100% of those polled were against gun cuntrol !

The article said: Republicans said they could not vote for a bill that included provisions opposed by their core constituents.

This is all very nice and warm and fuzzy, but why did so dang many republicans vote for those dumb-ass amendments to begin with?

No amendments would have meant a clean bill that may have had a good chance of passing.

This bill was NOT about guns; it was about trial lawyers.
