earned legalization Hmmm... I've been thinking about this a little. The "illegal aliens" are actually CRIMINAL aliens since they broke the law in entering our country in an illegal fashion.
If I'm a criminal and I seek a clean slate, how do I do this? One way is by "doing the time for my crime."
How 'bout this: Since these people are CRIMINALS, we offer them five years of hard labor in a maximum security prison during which time they are taught how to speak English and about American customs, mores, etc. After that, they automatically become American citizens.
You may think I'm crazy, but think about this: Under both President Bush's plan and Kerry's plan there is no penalty whatsoever for these CRIMINALS breaking the law. We just welcome them with open arms and all is forgiven.
I'm sorry. But if this plan (either plan) is implemented, there'll be a migration into this country like we've never seen or even imagined.

Sen. John Forbes Kerry, D-Mass., is not afraid of the charged amnesty word when it comes to his stated policies on undocumented immigrants. "undocumented immigrants" is what should be in quotes.
So, is this to be the new PC expression for ILLEGAL aliens?
Oh puke. More 'newspeak'.

The Dems can't allow the word illegal to be used because even we Republicans understand that illegal is wrong. These pukes make me want to puke.

Don't worry, if you don't like Kerry's stand on amnesty you can always vote for . . . uh . . .hmmmmm . . . nevermind.
The almost universal use of phrases like "undocumented immigrant" instead of the traditional phrase "illiegal alien" is a good case to use when pointing out the liberal bias and totalitarian unity of the American press. Of course, few if any politicians or activists will use it as an example of press bias because doing so opens them up to a charge of racism.

Anyone who has been in this country for five or six years, whos paid their taxes, who has stayed out of trouble, ought to be able to translate into an American citizenship immediately, not waiting.
Not even wait for a few years, like the people who obtained legal status in the 1986 amnesty.
