Another skirmish in the WOB (War on Borders). I don't see a clear winner in this one...

and DUmmies wonder why they are loathed. You don't remember groups of FReepers outside the Naval Observatory in 2000 chanting...
Get out of Cheney's house!
Get out of Cheney's house!
Get out of Cheney's house!
How is this that different?
AlGore still credits that experience with much of his motive to concede the election.

There is one thing that is for sure. The winner won't be us.

Thanks for the ping. Big "D" is becoming Big "T" - as in Tijuana.

These people are not used to following the laws. They are lawbreakers to begin with. Why should they follow any laws? Lets just wink and nod.

Does this remind anyone else of the Nazi Brownhirts and Mussolini's Blackshirts. Someone needs to get a handle on this real quick, before we turn into a third world country with mob rule.

Too bad Rove doesn't shoot trespassers.
To: ConservativeMajority
The GOP could've picked up a lot of votes if Rove had these leeches sent right back from whence they came -- south of the border.

"
DISPERSED??!! Why the &%$^ weren't they ARRESTED?? They were trespassing on Mr. Rove's property and harassing him!"
People on the borders of this nation have been asking the same things for quite awhile, now.
To: HiJinx
"I don't see a clear winner in this one..." I see this a little differently than most.
I see a clear loser.
These people don't know GW very well if they think they can intimidate him with threats of mob violence.
When he bows his neck about something, he's like a bulldog.
They've hurt their cause more than they can know.

There's nothing like giving the elite a taste of their own policies.

I would be interested to know who is actually sponsoring these peopleActually it's Carl Rove.
I'd like to invite a few of them to camp out in his back yard.
Let Mr. "Amnesty" Rove enjoy a taste of his own medicine.

Who's the nutcase - the illegals who stand to gain everything, or we Americans for not throwing them out? You're right! This is a small example of what will happen when these "immigrants" start demanding even more of the American pie than they've already stolen.
If there were any brains in Washington, they should be used to put a stop to this crap immediately and enforce the existing immigration and border laws. This is an insidious invasion, and no one is firing a shot against it.

Another skirmish If a mob was outside my house banging on windows, the cops better get there pretty quick.
Whats next? A howling mob like the one in Black Hawk Down dragging people thru the streets?
I hope Rove wakes up and gets on the right side.

did FReepers do that?
did they actually go up and pound on the windows?
did they even cross the bounds and onto the property?
isn't the Naval Observatory a government property, instead of a private residence?

did FReepers do that? The DC Chapter, in its finest hour.
did they actually go up and pound on the windows?
No.
did they even cross the bounds and onto the property?
No. They were across the street, if memory serves.
isn't the Naval Observatory a government property, instead of a private residence?
Yes, of course. I wasn't saying there was no difference or that you were being hypocrital. I was just informing you that protesting outside a personal residence has a noble precedent that might cause you to reconsider part of what you said.
FReepers aren't as obnoxious or are as stupid as were these clowns (as you know). That's why they were still at the Naval Observatory for several days making life pure hell for AlGore, and it was effective too. By contrast, these thugs at Rove's house were kicked out quickly and probably did themselves more harm than good given Mr. Rove's imperious and vindictive personality. :-)

Get out of Cheney's house! How is this that different? Well, for one, Gore was an elected representative and thus opens himself up to the people, who have a right to petition their grievances. Rove has no such status. Second, The Naval Observatory is an "official" government owned residence belonging to "We the People," whereas Karl Rove's residence is a private residence.
I hope you see the logic of the difference.

Until Islamics start condemning their terrorists, and the democrats start condemning their terrorists, these two sorry sets of festering pimples on the butt of the world and national body politic can expect no respect from anyone other than their fellow terrorists.
To: XEHRpa
I hope you see the logic of the difference. As to whether I see it, see Post 56.
Carl Rove is a public figure, elected or not. Either way, it is still public harrassment of an individual for political purposes at his residence. It is a political tradition as old as humanity. Public figures had better be ready to deal with it.
