Congressional Democrats yesterday defended Jamie S. Gorelick's position on the September 11 commission, one day after a leading House Republican called for her resignation.

Several top Democratic leaders cited the continued support of Commission Chairman Thomas H. Kean, the former Republican governor of New Jersey, in stating their support for Ms. Gorelick.

Hatch has gone native. He is a prime example of why we need term limits.

Hatch was also a wimp during the impeachment. Why does he cater to the liberals?

The liberals OWN Orrin Hatch. Hatch is a phony. He has dirt in his closet that the Liberals will use against him if they need to.

Hatch is clueless. It's not about defending Gorelick, it's about the credibility of the Commission, what little there is left of it.

Sen. Orrin G. Hatch, Utah Republican, who is Mr. Sensenbrenner's counterpart in the Senate, defended Ms. Gorelick. "I know and respect Jamie Gorelick," he said. "I trust she will do the right thing regarding any conflict of interest or appearance of conflict of interest regarding her continuing service on the 9/11 commission."

In fairness to Hatch, that is not a defense. In fact, that can fairly be read as him implicitly suggesting that she step down given that she not only has a conflict but she is actually a witness who is going to have to testify before the commission. BTW, if that happens, I wonder if we will be treated to the spectacle of Kean allowing her to ask a question of herself from the commission bench and then running down to the witness table so that she can then answer the question she just posed to herself.

All I want to know is, are the DNC photos of Orin with a live boy, a dead girl, or a goat?

Sounds like Hitlery's FBI docs got to him.....
I am so disappointed. I finally changed my party affiliation to Republican this week. I'm leaving one party to encounter the same happy horsesh*t in the other!

If that's the case, and it appears that it is, why doesn't the GOP just out him themselves and get RID of the SOB??

He seems to be having an ongoing "out of mind experience". His friendship with "The Swimmer" may account for his apparent possesion. Perhaps an excorcism is needed.

"Gone native" - LOL!!

I can't even bear to read the article.

WHERE'S THE HOOK? Drag the fool off the stage. He nauseates me. Simpering little gutless pansy. Why doesn't a real conservative run against him?

Or even a real man?

I think some people need to re-read the quote before they bury the Hatch. I didn't read it as a defense at all. Just a statesman's way of saying "if these things are true and there's a conflict of interest, I trust she'll step down."

At worst, it's a little mealy-mouthed. But it certainly isn't a defense.

Use to have a lot of respect for Senator Hatch but he has been subjected to the slimy Dims, like Kennedy, for so long he is now total ineffective and needs to be replaced. Gorelick is on the commission for one reason, to make sure Clinton doesn't come out looking bad and to help make it look like everything is President Bush's fault. When those of us that know the truth start complaining, it seems like there is always a Rino that comes out in support of the Dims, so nothing is ever done about it. The Dims, some Rinos and the media seem to be hell bent on getting Pres. Bush out of the White House and care less how they get the job done. Many of us complain, send emails and make calls but it seems nobody is listening. Everyday there is Kerry, Kennedy and a host of their supporters on tv, a book a week bashing the President, the new lie for the day being told. It is so disgusting. The media speaks kinder of a hardened criminal than they do of the President. I will be there in November to cast my vote for President Bush, if I have to crawl to the polls to do so, but I have to admit it gets very frustrating at times to listen to all the accusations and lies that are told on a daily basis.

You know, I KNOW that's true....hell, it's what kept the lying, thieving pervert in the oval office, isn't it. It's just so depressing.

Orin Hatch, a blustering bag of fetid air --- was photographed with a "blow up partner".
.....and the rumor is, he squats to pee..

He is long overdue to leave positions of trust..

If you were certain there would be a cry to form a "9/11 Committee" and you were also certain the outcome would be to blast your adminstration, you might wish to be able to easily dismiss the effort as "partisan". How would you do that? Hmm. A headline forms in a vision, "Unamed source says WH fears Gorelick may be named to Commission".

Hatch, naturally, sides with the scumbag Democrats to defend that pig Gorelick, the one person clearly documented as the person most responsible for the security boondoggle that allowed the terrorist murder of over 3,000 American citizens.

When is Hatch up for reelection? I am sick of that guy.
