Reckless US Media Spiking Horrific Torture Video (Gotta Read!!)
Pipeline News ^ | 22 May 2004

New York, NY - PipeLineNews - The left-wing American press is in possession of some of the most gruesome video scenes ever witnessed in the Western world, documenting abuse of Iraqi citizens on a scale heretofore unimaginable.

These ghastly video images, which are in the hands of the Washington Post, ABC news and - one would have to assume, the rest of the so-called legitimate press - show Iraqi prisoners being beheaded, having fingers slowly cut off, having their tongues cut out – blood gushing everywhere and screaming in unbelievable agony as they are having their testicles roughly hacked off by government goons.

The tape also shows Kurdish babies being gassed to death.

Mideast television station Al Hurra’s news director, Mouafac Harb, stated that he received the video evidence on Monday, May 17 and has judged it to be authentic

Harb said, "I was approached with a tape, which I had not seen before [one that] I had not seen on the popular Arabic satellite channels any program like this."

Why the sudden reticence of the US journalism to air such horrific footage?

Has Donald Rumsfeld gotten to them, have they been silenced by John Ashcroft, perhaps under threat of legal action under the Patriot Act?

Not exactly, you see the video footage was produced at the behest of Saddam Hussein and shows the full range of his regime's brutality.

ABC, CBS, NBC, the Washington Post, NY Times et all, have deemed that the American public will never be shown this evidence because it doesn’t serve their anti-war, anti-Bush, pro-Islamist agenda.

...percolating...

Great article bump!

Let's let the military in Iraq and Afghanistan vote first, before the election:

"Why the sudden reticence of the US journalism to air such horrific footage? "

It is the Partisan Press.

They claim not to be on the side of the terrorists, but they sure aren't on America's side.

It's not surprising, once you understand that our media elites are anti-American traitors who want their country to lose this war.

Lord Haw Haw was hanged for being a mouthpiece for Hitler. The same should happen to today's AQ boosters in the media.

If there was a Republican president in the White House, during WWII, and we had the same media back then, there would be NO Holocaust survivors.

I'll bet someone has them- parts were seen before the war.

But the author is coorect, our media will do nothing at all that makes Saddam look bad. The US, though, is fair game.

had FDR been a republican - the nazis would have gotten "fair and balanced" coverage in the US media. they could never have shown the true effects of the holocaust, it would have demonized the nazis. its the same thing here - if they showed the true torture in iraq; this story, the one about the surgical removal of hands being spiked - then fewer americans would care that some prisoner was punched or nude or had a barking door go after him.

In order to deny a Republican President a second term, I believe that the present mainstream media would have looked the other way, concerning the concentration camps. Does anyone really believe that if this was Algore in the White House, with things going exactly the way that they have been going now, that the media would have published any of those prison photos.

Yeh, yeh, yeh, but do they show
American troops under the command of Donald Rumsfeld forcing panties on prisoners' heads?
American troops under the command of Donald Rumsfeld forcing them to wear Maxipads?
American troops under the command of Donald Rumsfeld holding vicious beastly dogs growling at cowering prisoners?

Do you see the 'theme' required for media to show pics and videos? Hint: American troops under the command of Donald Rumsfeld.

Most people's definition of obscenity includes the graphic depiction of violence against humans. These torture tapes definitely cross the line. Showing them cannot be defended as satisfying the public's "need to know."

I hope any broadcaster who shows the tapes gets his FCC license pulled, immediately.

As horrific as it sounds, I think your speculation is correct.

They would have taken the side of the National Socialist German Worker's Party and tipped them off of major actions, and blocked reporting on the atrocities. Like Rwanda, for instance.

Plus, back then, the gov't asked all reporters not to report on actinides, uranium, thorium, plutonium and so on to protect Manhattan Project Engineering District. Today, the whole Manhattan project would have been outed by Ellsberg-like "heroes".

They would have covered up the concentration camps and the Bataan Death March, and put every training accident and bombing of cities in Japan and Germany on page one as war crimes and atrocities.

We had a censored media in the US during WWII. The American Public and our Armed forces Knew nothing of the Holocaust until the last days and end of the war. FDR knew all about it though from at least 1940 even before we joined the war and knew about how it escalated. Admiral Canaris- head of German Military intel attempted to contact FDR on several occassions in order to get his support for a coup against Hitler. FDR refused any and all contact with him. In fact- he mocked the entire Front of Decent People- when they were finally rounded up after the last attempt to assassinate Hitler. He had leaflets dropped over Germany during their trials saying how if the "Junker militerist aristocracy" thought killing Hitler was going to save Germany they were mistaken.

My Question? How many Jews died because of FDR's slaven loyalty to Stalin?

Perhaps if we had a free media back then FDR wouldn't be wasting lives like he was playing chess.
