6:00 ET: CBS radio news plays clip of Biden at whatever college is in Newark Deleware. He makes a claim of no connection between Al Qaida and Saddam, etc., gets rousing chorus of boos.
Sounds like really appropriate graduation speech material too - Iraq and AQ. What a doofus.
My only serious foray into feminism was a 3 year relationship with a Skidmore/Colombia PHD who taught at Barnard.
She was a blonde blue eyed Jamaican (yes there are a handful) and we lived all over the Upper West Side (and a wee bit in Tribeca).
A sweet gal in reality but so conditioned into feminism and her friends were worse.
My socialization with her "group" of academia was pivotal in my transformation from lefty-libertarian to far right wing knuckle dragger.
The fact that I was native Mississippian seemed to infuriate the lefties.
I'll tell ya something....despite the histronics from lefty harridans...deep down underneath they all want a Real Man ....who's not Metro or afraid to be a bit chauvanistic and deferential....someone they feel secure with....protected even.
After this gal left me for her supersensitve Nice Jewish Boy songwriter (lol, seriously), she lamented that at least with me there was no ambiguity.
I bet Maureen Dowd really in her heart lusts for Dubya if ya know what I mean.
Am I wrong ladies?
(wkb, didn't want to leave you out)
Does anyone remember Ratner and her brother trying to change a statue that was going to be erected in NYC honoring the three white firemen who raised the American Flag at the World Trade Center? Ratner and her brother wanted to change the three white firemen to one white, one black and one Hispanic. If I remember correctly, the brother was going to pay for the statue. However, the American people booed so loudly (and on an online petition so did many Europeans) that they dropped it like a hot potatoe. Never "misunderestimate" the American people. Then a postage stamp depicting the three white guys who raised the Flag was put out by the U.S. Post Office.

Thanks (I think?)
I like REAL men.
A man's man if you will.
Take charge, and yes,
protect me, look out for me,
and worship me. LOL!
Southern Gentlemen, fit the criteria.
Some mighty fine kids you have there. Each one is a looker.
I have 2 lab/mix rescues and with all the puppy shots and keeping them in teething things , I'm about to go broke. I want to claim them as dependents on my taxes too.
I think that the boos are a combination that Americans don't believe what he is saying, and many Americans are sick and tired of the overt politization of the war by the Democrats. Democrats have no class and rather than talk to the college graduates about their futures, they use the events as political ploys.
Would it be fair to say that our founding fathers would also be considered isolationists by you?
'I say both parties because I'm convinced that if clinton had invaded Iraq, many people who now support the war would be rabidly against it. "
I would contest this. Where were the anti-war protesters with Kosovo. After 9/11, as much as I dispised clinton , I'd have supported the war effort.
Yeah, but Andy Hall's odds of making the Eagles got a little longer. Yesterday the Birds signed Jeff Blake. Reid's got 6 qbs coming to camp.
foreverfree
I think you're basically right, but I do think that the indoctrination is so deep-seeded that when a man asserts himself many women who fancy themselves feminists, and perhaps want a real man, view such masucline self-assertion as a personal hit and a clash of wills ensues.
I know a little bit about that because I grew up the only girl in a hotbead of the Italian masucline. I had to learn how to make sure I was noticed and paid attention to. In fact, because I didn't have a whole lot of girls to chum around with in my formative years, I think I'm more inclined to a masculine outlook on things.
I prefer a real man thanks.
True, if you're assuming that Clinton would invade Iraq in a manner and for reasons similar to those of Kosovo.
I can not imagine Clinton using any military force that would benefit the United States. That's an important underlying distinction between Bush and Clinton.
If the gays can ridiculously claim marriage as a "right", then I can claim my pooches as children. No one has the right to tell me otherwise, the way I see it.
I will say however, that the Right had very good reason to despise clinton, they just were so rabid about it, that it occluded all else.
But also, in repsonse to the backlash by the public against changing the statue to the multicultural version, the Pulitzer committee snubbed the flag-raising photograph when they handed out their prizes.
Guess they showed us, huh? </sarcasm>
Nope. They are big contributors to the Rats. Would not be surprised to find out they gave a few million $$ to the Dem 527s, either.
That makes me sick. Just sick! Those people are white trash, if there every were any!
Dems? Heh, well, yeah, the "love their Country", but not in the same way. Many, many Dems (being a Recovering one, I know) look upon their country as either:
1. A Giant Teat,
2. A repressive society they've been sent to "liberate", or
3. An imperial power needing to be cut down to size by smarter, more sophisticated societies like the U.N. and the E.U.
Very rarely will you hear Dems give anything more than lip service to the actions, forefathers, and documents that created this American nation and liberated us from the King of England. Instead, Dems, particularly the "leaders" of the party, openly promote a more powerful centralized government to the economic and social detriment of the citizenry.
So yes, they love this country: they love to be the overlords thereof.
So what does this put us up to, four or five liberals soundly booed in the last few weeks?
