i THINK your option is one of the

SANER ones, at least one of the

MOST-LIKELY-TO-BE-EFFECTIVE

ones among many other sadly too poor options.

THANKS.

Sadly, I suspect there will be tooooo little courage to go with that one. And, there's some sensibility that going that way would complicate too much and too unnecessarily the global WOT.

But what else can we do!!!!!!???!!!!

BESIDES PRAYER--WHICH IS STILLLLLLLL
THE MOST POWERFUL OPTION.

I'll be uploading a very serious prophetic warning to the TP thread soonish.

The reality is that LEO can't possibly screen every person traveling through Grand Central or Penn Station. Commerce and tourism would come to a halt and of course every commuter would moan and groan about the "humiliation" of being searched and the resulting delay, until a bomb goes off, and then they'll want to know why LEO wasn't searching everyone. The only way to stop an attack is through good intelligence so that the bad guys are nabbed during the planning stages. Good intelligence, however, is harder and harder to come by since we're no longer allowed make them wear panties on their heads or bark like a dog (although there are dozens of fetish clubs in NYC where people pay good money to be treated that way).

So what I do to protect myself is to limit my travel through NYC (which is really sad because I love NYC), and I don't spend any more time in the train station than I need to spend to get on and off the train. If I have time to kill, I go find and Irish Pub a block or two away, and when I do walk through the station, I avoid the areas where people are congregating like under the AMTRACK Arrival/Departure sign at Penn Station or the main waiting area for the LIRR.

"I feel as though I should be carrying a gun with me when I go out. At this point I would love to shoot one of them. "

I carry a firearm everywhere these days. School is out for the summer so I don't have to go to work. As a firearms instructor and shooting competitor, being always armed is as natural for me as breathing. But if I felt as you do, I think I deliberately wouldn't. I'd be afraid it'd make me trigger happy, too ready to shoot.

I am certain that at some point our malls will be targeted, possibly for an attack by Jihadists with AK's and grenades, rather than the suicide bomber. If that happens, especially in a state with Right To Carry (RTC) laws, there is a good chance some private citizen will be there to shut it down.

As Tom Clancy puts it: "If you pull the tiger's tail, have a plan for dealing with his teeth. In America, we grow very large tigers."

I dont think they can get away with that here. As soon as someone finds out where they are, there would be so much rioting around the country at mosques by every day citizens trying to protest and get to them they would never be able to do it. At least after the first one, there would be so many hate crimes and rioting against muslims in the US, we'd end up finding and killing the sleeper cells that are here without even knowing it.

The rest of the text the following excerpts are from is at the thread link listed below at post #24

When these waves came forth from within the White House, I heard the angels who were still pushing against the demons on their side of the shield begin to wail and keen. When the demons saw the waves emanating from within the White House, they began to scream with victory.

[Qx note: I believe this refers to Billdo and Shrillery Clinton's 8 years in the WH]

. . .

When this occurred, the shield around America fell down, and the demons streamed into America, howling and in a frenzy.

. . .

. . .

"Your ground is soaked with the blood of the innocents, and how shall I ignore or overlook this when it continues daily to occur? Your streets overflow with degradation. Many of your churches reek with hypocrisy, and My sheep have been driven away and have been left to wander alone; where they have become meat and prey for the wolves.

"Yet, I would wipe out these sins, and blot out their remembrance; if you had only returned unto Me with all your heart. I have stayed My judgment for a season. I will stay it no longer. You have been weighed, and have been found wanting. I have no pleasure in your judgment, America. Prepare to meet your Maker."

I then watched scene after scene of carnage and terror befall America. I just don't want or desire to go into detail about it. My heart was breaking as I witnessed all of this, and I was myself filled with horror and terror.

Here is something for the terrorists to ponder.

They should ask themselves "Do I feel lucky today??"

RIGHT TO CARRY STATES

Hoping this is up to date. LINK

I wouldn't shoot anyone without good reason. But if given a good reason, then all bet's are off. BTW this map does show some very vulnerable areas.

I agree, I can't imagine it happening here... at least not more than once.

We are all so angry and frustrated when we see this happening in SA and Iraq, where we can't do anything about it, if it happened here on our soil we would have the opportunity to act out on that frustration.

A hostage and beheading situation here would bring down angry mobs on the mooselimb community where it occurred. Mosques would burn and they would soon realize it's not a good tactic on American soil.

Thanks for the map, I downloaded it to my 'puter. The sad reality is that all those states in yellow should be lumped in with the "NO RIGHTS" Red States.

Yep, as a California girl I have to agree. And, it seems the yellow states are usually the ones they threaten.

But, we have our ways around some things!! (so note to terrorists, do you feel lucky today?) Even in California? Don't count on it. :-)

I'm convinced it will happen here more than once.

And eventually, with the global gov entrenched here, the government will begin doing it.

I've read with interest all your (and others) posts about urban living. Your lifestyle is very nearly a foreign concept to me. While I've visited many very large cities, I can't begin to imagine living in one. It's no wonder your stress levels are so high......not to mention the fear factor. It seems to increase exponentially with population density. Sad, but true; one must live where one makes one's living.

My biggest personal fear (aside from a map-challenged terrorist) is an angry mountain lion, timber rattler, rabid wolf, or the well going down. Wish you could all live here in my beautiful Black Hills.............but then that would make THIS an urban area.

I know there are positives and negatives about all areas.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with each of you as you confront your daily experiences.

I'm a yellow state.

You are right about no rights.

Even if you are able to have a gun, you can't carry. The only legal way to transport it outside the house is with it taken apart. Part has to be in the car itself while the other part has to be in the trunk.

Since I was brought up with "gun is bad", I tried having a relative (retired vet) start taking my son to the shooting range. He ended up with a $200 dollar noise ordinance ticket.

We are still trying to figure this one out.
