I'm going to convert bump lists to keywords and discontinue that form of addressing. This will only affect you if you know what a bump list is. Thank you.
Update #1 within the hour pings to bump lists will fail to register. Tick tock...
Update #2 to add an article to the bump lists--which are now keywords--use the "Click to add keyword" link that lists below the text of each article. Enter the name of the bump list without spaces.
A list of those names can be found on the old bump list register.
Update #2.5 Oh, and, for better or worse, keywords are now global across all forums. For example, yesterday the moose keyword would have a different list of articles depending on which forum you were in--utter chaos. Today, moose lists all articles across all forums.

If someone "pings" someone else to a thread, is that considered to be about the same as a bump list?
In general, I love this forum and consider it one of the easiest, least cluttered to participate in.
As one who builds for a living, believe me, I can appreciate simplicity in design and function.
However, would you please make sure that the old bump list archive is accesible? Even if it is a "read only"list? There is a lot of very important information in those old threads.

Whatever happened to the "hold mah beer and watch this" bump list, or was that a ping list? Whenever I see that note on a thread, I know humor is in store. I just don't recall who had that list.

2 words we don't use in our house are 'hate' and 'stupid' except when it comes to flies, fleas and, mosquitos (there are lots more but we don't use them in front of the 6yo)

Some people wouldn't consider my "political attitude" legitimately acquired because before I became a volunteer activist I spent years as a paid lobbyist and prior to that I was a reporter...........

It really is just a list of documents that can be retrieved that have previously been put on a list.. If you haven't used them before them, forget about it cause Keywords give the same function mostly!!!
