The last few months I've seen an increasing trend for FReepers to start going for each others jugular. Sometimes we forget (I've certainly done it myself) that in the grand scheme of things, we are on the same team. We may disagree on priorities or how far we are willing to go, but we have enough enemy in the left without creating more amongst ourselves. We can disagree but be civil to each other. We can debate nuance, but not believe that our personal positions are more important than the health of the whole. Let's argue vigorously but remind ourselves the guy whose trachia we are ripping out today may be sitting next to us in a foxhole tommorrow.
I'm going to propose that we all make a new start. Let's put all past differences behind us and resolve to band together and fight the good fight, the elimination of liberalism as a significant culturual influence in America...and see that to its end in our lifetimes.

Protectionism is not Conservative, nor is a stick-yer-head-in-the-sand foreign policy. I usedta read Buchanan regularly, but his brand of Conservatism has come to vary greatly from my own.

I've been coming here for 5-6 years and can't remember a time when there wasn't a lot of "domestic violence" going on. That's because there are different kinds of conservatives with different values and agendas: free-market conservatives, Constitutionalists, evangelical Christians, libertarians, traditionalist Catholics, isolationists, neo-cons, Buchananites, 2nd Amendment people, and so on (not to mention trolls and disruptors). I think the disagreements are healthy if the language doesn't go too far into the gutter or become personal in a nasty way.

That's the way I see it. And some of them have been here for years, post nothing personal on their home page, not even a location. They follow many of us around just to be annoying. They care nothing of outing corruption, only in protecting a stock portfolio or government job. They are a bigger pain and more dangerous than any liberal.

Most of the enemies I have on this forum are ones who I consider to be my enemies because they call me a Marxist, or tell me to go to DU, if I so much as slightly critique the current Center Right lukewarm GOP orthodoxy. The particular hot buttons which seem to invite such withering attacks appear to be, in no particular order, any critique of what I consider to be a naive, globalist, economism which is reputed to trump most geopolitics, any critique of currently planned continuing overall military drawdown (particularly drawdown of strategic forces), any critique of anti nationalist, border busting corporations, or pretty much anything which questions the main planks of the quasi liberal, Center Right world view. It is pretty amazing to me, that people far to the left of me would be telling me I don't belong here. To cut to the chase, in order to stop the back biting, we must marginalize or at least gain better behavior from the Leftist factions here instead allowing them to vigorously assail us Rightists. Rightists are not the problem, we are the solution.
I'm not sure about that. Seems like they get a great deal of support here on the Forum. They are constantly at the forefront of FR related activism and always get the kudos they deserve.
I don't know. Kristinn has been in a few scrapes with PTB.
People reply with the "already posted" messages so the person will know why their articles was pulled. I've posted a few duplicate articles and I never got upset when someone pointed it out.
