The last few months I've seen an increasing trend for FReepers to start going for each others jugular. Sometimes we forget (I've certainly done it myself) that in the grand scheme of things, we are on the same team. We may disagree on priorities or how far we are willing to go, but we have enough enemy in the left without creating more amongst ourselves. We can disagree but be civil to each other. We can debate nuance, but not believe that our personal positions are more important than the health of the whole. Let's argue vigorously but remind ourselves the guy whose trachia we are ripping out today may be sitting next to us in a foxhole tommorrow.
I'm going to propose that we all make a new start. Let's put all past differences behind us and resolve to band together and fight the good fight, the elimination of liberalism as a significant culturual influence in America...and see that to its end in our lifetimes.

LOL...he does appear to have a lotta free time on his hands. If you think about it, it is sorta flattering, though, even if his comments appear to be overwhelmingly negative. The very fact that the LPers lurk over here to obtain material just shows how influential FR.com has become.

Well, I can't remember the exact sequence of events, but Todd wanted to do a show and Bob gave him a chance. It didn't really work out and that was that.
I don't know how long after that he left FR.

No, RFR is off the air, although Todd only did two shows for us while we were webcasting both were in the early stage of development.
RFR will be back. It will be a monthly show hosted by Doug from Upland.
I never take anything personally around here, other than the fact that some dismiss whatever I say just because I supported John McCain four years ago.
It's that unthinking, knee-jerk "This person's opinion is worthless because (fill in blank here)", totally avoiding debate on the merits of the opinion itself kind of mentality that bugs the hell out of me, but unfortunately such narrow-mindedness is pretty pervasive here (e.g., "liberal" source/you supported so-and-so, and therefore your opinion is worthless/you're a new member and, therefore, are prejudged to be a disruptor, et cetera) and I doubt it'll change anytime soon.
I can hum the Barney theme song each time I post, if that helps. :)

Me too. I have a very good conservative Republican friend at work that would love to join and post but I'm afraid for him to post because of the "troll" accusations going around right now.

I've not really noticed a big change...and I've hung around since the Clinton impeachement.

not seen any significant changes over time...except for the
