"We have turned the corner and we are not going back!". Good quote.

It's nice to see President Bush doing hitting the right points, also.

It was indeed a terrific and most enjoyable speech.
He hit Kerry hard on the military funding vote.

"There is NOTHING complicated about supporting our troops in combat"

In regards to Kerry's flip-flop $87B vote, that he then voted against, then said he was proud of voting against it, then said it was a "complicated" issue.

Nail in the coffin, IMHO!

Heard every word of it. Dems are whining about the slams against Breckboy and Mutha Tarheyza. Te-he, laughed my a$$ off. They'll spend the next couple of days carping about the high road/low road thing while GW continues to eat their lunch. Loved the line about 'they think the hear and soul of America is in Hollywood'. Sunday's talk show circuit should be very interesting.

I wanted to be there (I live 1-1/2 hours north of Springfield) but I couldn't get down there yesterday to get the tickets (work and other commitments), since they had to be picked up by 6 p.m. :(

We just missed him last time he was in Springfield and visited Bass Pro Shop. My littlest boy and I were being wanded by security at one door when the President left by the next one up. My little boy was so disappointed. He loves Pres. Bush and is so proud that his middle name is George - "just like President Bush".

I'll have to read this thread because I'm working and can't watch TV right now.

Was in line to SEE the speech, then people got turned away due to time constraints. The early bird really does get the worm. Got home in time to watch it on TV - he ended up talking ~50 minutes, in what was supposed to be a 20 min speech. It was great.

President Bush was wonderful. What a contrast he is to the stiff Kerry. One of the things Bush pointed out is that he will not let another country decide on the safety of the US. Kerry last night said he wouldn't attack unless we were attack. It sounds like he needs to read the 9/11 report since he's been to busy with his Hollywood friends to read it.

He's come out full-throated on his record in the arenas of economy and homeland security and the WOT.

I got there at 5:30am. All the speeches were wonderful. It was a great day to be a Republican and an American!

Will Bush now use his remaining primary campaign money to hit Kerry hard before the Republican Convention? It's now or never...
