Swift Photo (... and the Swift Boat Veterans Story Builds In Intensity! YEAH, Baby -- !)

Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has posted a photo on its Web site, www.swiftvets.com, that shows just how little support Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry has among swift boat officers who knew him in Vietnam.

Twenty officers, including Mr. Kerry, are shown in the photo, but the Web site urges viewers to touch it with their cursor to see just how many support the Massachusetts Democrat's White House bid. Suddenly, only one man is standing near Mr. Kerry.

I'm in Las Vegas and ready to take it where ever you want.

If your post is any indication, I think you've taken it where somebody wanted it many times before.

I'm confused. Bush's lawyers didn't go after Michael Moore, or the NAACP (Byrd ads) - and those things were made up. How much of this video is true? It could be extremely damaging, I'll say that. If Moore can have his 911 lies, why shouldn't the Swiftboat people present their side - especially if they actually served with him. These seem like credible people, but I hope there isn't any deceit in that ad.

I think people will respond to the Democrat silencing (legal muzzling) in a very negative / sceptical way. They'll feel the difference between free speech and suppression of the same. Kerry would be well advised to just let it play, and rebut if there is anything to rebut. Muzzling creates even more interest and leaves a bad taste in people's mouths.

I have been a Viet Vet Against The War since discharge date (10/68) and happiliy have gone to The Knucks with Attacking "Patriots" wrapped in their Flags accusing anyone with an opposing view of being a "Commie".

Of course, all Vietnam veterans, at one time, participated in a war that was ostensibly anti-communist. Identifying people as "communists" when there is no longer a unified block of Communist nations makes little sense. The nations that were formerly the Soviet Union are no longer communist.

The alphabet networks sure did, I didn't see anything on tonight's broadcasts on any of the big 3 (ABC, NBC, or SeeBS). They did cover it on the radio news.

Terrorism was the big story tonight. No smack down for Howie Dean though for alledging that it was "purely politics" that warnings went out.

UDAY: "The end is near… this time I think the… Americans are serious, Bush is not like Clinton."

All I know is that I get PINGed back to threads that are 2 years old only to find the newbie is already nuked.

Occasionally I also get silent FReepmails (newbie accounts who don't post, only email). Some of these have been bulk mailings of venom.

I figure that some of them come here by random Google search (FR threads can be found there).

Someone else expressed surprise that the Swift Boat veterans ad didn't draw out more troll activity.

Kerry took to showing up at pep rallies for the cross-town rival team. He was well accepted there as a turn coat. It got him some chicks and invites to parties.

Eventually, Kery matriculated into his old school's administration. Now he's being interviewed for the office of principal and is using his record as a star player as a part of his resume. He's also listed the old equipment manager as references to his prowess on the field. His old team mates and the old coach beg to differ and are making their voices heard.
