We call out to You today, dear Lord, to deliver our President, George W. Bush from the lies of the Enemy. We confess our frustration because of our finite minds and human frailty, and our need to be totally dependent on You as our stronghold during the coming months. Lord, we have seen in our President and First Lady a peace that helps us to see that You are dwelling in them, and that they can feel Your presence. We ask that You protect these dear servants of Yours from the attacks of their enemies. We ask that the lies that are coming from the Father of all Lies through the Democrat leaders and the media be silenced, and that the people of America would see the truth beyond the lies.
Father, we ask that President Bush continue to depend wholly upon You for his strength, and lean not on his own understanding, but continue to trust in You with his whole heart. We ask that You give him wisdom that goes far beyond human understanding to deal with every problem and decision he must make, both in foreign and domestic policy. Guide his every step, and give him the strength he needs in the coming days.
Dear Father, we continue to bring before You our troops as they serve this country in the cause of freedom throughout the world. Keep them safe, Lord, and grant them both courage and peace in their service. Bring them home safely to their families, we pray.
We continue as well to pray for revival in this land. We ask that Your people would be on our knees in constant prayer for the spiritual well being of America, and that we might be bold in sharing our love for You. Help us to be a sweet fragrance to a world in need. Forgive us our sins as a nation, and as individuals, and bring us to the foot of the cross, where Jesus, Your only Son sacrificed His life for us. And it is in His name that we pray, Amen!

No matter their intention or motivation, Lord, we pray for Your hand to be upon George W. Bush today and throughout the campaign. Please help him to continue freeing the oppressed, speaking out for the unborn, and opening the gates of liberty. He is Your servant, and may he never forget the same.

Paul's marvellously rich expression indicates, that Christ is the source
of our life. "You hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins."
That same voice which brought Lazarus out of the tomb raised us to newness
of life. He is now the substance of our spiritual life. It is by his life
that we live; he is in us, the hope of glory, the spring of our actions,
the central thought which moves every other thought. Christ is the
sustenance of our life. What can the Christian feed upon but Jesus' flesh
and blood? "This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man
may eat thereof, and not die." O wayworn pilgrims in this wilderness of
sin, you never get a morsel to satisfy the hunger of your spirits, except
ye find it in him! Christ is the solace of our life. All our true joys
come from him; and in times of trouble, his presence is our consolation.
There is nothing worth living for but him; and his lovingkindness is
better than life! Christ is the object of our life. As speeds the ship
towards the port, so hastes the believer towards the haven of his
Saviour's bosom. As flies the arrow to its goal, so flies the Christian
towards the perfecting of his fellowship with Christ Jesus. As the soldier
fights for his captain, and is crowned in his captain's victory, so the
believer contends for Christ, and gets his triumph out of the triumphs of
his Master. "For him to live is Christ." Christ is the exemplar of our
life.
Where there is the same life within, there will, there must be, to a
great extent, the same developments without; and if we live in near
fellowship with the Lord Jesus we shall grow like him.
We shall set him before us as our Divine copy, and we shall seek to tread
in his footsteps, until he shall become the crown of our life in glory.

Lord, the battle rages even in this early stage. This election is crucial to the future, not only of America, but of the world. America's unprecedented role as lone world superpower makes it so. Much is at stake.
We can ill afford to install an administration that is at odds with your will at this juncture. Domestic and global issues are so critical that a mistake at this point would be disastrous.
Neither can we afford to elect persons of low moral caliber. We need a person of integrity to lead through difficult times and to inspire. A demoralizing administration would be a disaster for the country and the younger generations in particular.
Father God, it appears that one of the politicians seeking high office has a very fundamental problem telling the truth. We ask that the truth will out, in time, despite all efforts to suppress it. A brave company of war veterans has stepped forward, at great personal inconvenience, to tell the truth as they know it. We ask your protection on them and your encouragement as a biased media sends withering attacks their way. Truth is the ultimate issue upon which this election should turn, so we are glad that this encounter has occurred; it is a sign that we are on the right path. We pray that you see this through to great effect. Too long has this nation been torn by its war in Vietnam, and it becomes increasingly clear that self-serving politicians have all along mined our wounds for their own aggrandizement. It is time, dear Lord, to put these people down in shame and heal America.
We again pray for the upcoming convention. It is important that the nation review where we have been these last three historic years and that we outline a vision for where we are going. How will the war on terrorism be conducted? What can we expect of civil liberties domestically? The nation needs to hear clear directions on these and other issues. Therefore we ask that you guide the organizers and participants to bring forth what you would have. Put down negative elements from within which attempt to thwart your message. Call the media to account for their bias; let America with one voice demand greater professionalism of them.
We ask your blessing on lesser races as well. There are extremely important Senate races that must be won. This election could be a turning point for a political and cultural return to godly values. We pray it will be so. Send revival, O Lord, to every sphere of our lives.
Please continue to be with our troops, with the nations in the valley of decision, and with your persecuted throughout the world. Bind up the wounded; comfort the brokenhearted. Bless all who come here to pray. May you be manifest among us, for your glory's sake, amen.
