Another FReeper, The Bandit, has raised the question about this photo and those appearing in it with Kerry. Definately go to that thread

for full details.
This post is to examine the picture itself. What is going on with this picture? It seems the shadows are from different sun angles. Does anyone have an explanation for this?
(The top picture has had dark lines added to it to show the shadows in question. Bottom pic is as pulled from the other thread)

Not if they were only about 10 feet away from the sun.
I suppose if they used a big enough flash, you might get that kind of effect.
The sun is behind the camera man and he appears to be standing above them. Its perspective. I dont believe its doctored.
That's the way shadows are cast in Cambodia.
Is it photoshopped?
If yo go back and read the thread you are referencing, you'll find all kinds of analysis of this picture - most of it showing th epic isn't doctored...
Agreed.
"You don't know, man! You weren't in his boat!"
From what I can see of the pictures, it looks as though the Sun is directly in front of them.(hence the wincing).
The shadows seem to be consistent to the sun being almost directly overhead, but slightly in front of them.
Noon?
Like a mortar round?
Next excuse; See, this proves they were in Cambodia. The shade is different in Vietnam. (sarcasm)
I don't think so...
It's entirely possible people on Kerry's boat got there picture taken with him.
Noon...on Christmas...seared into my memory...wait I mean mid January
I would like to know how Kerry can sit there next to all them baby killers and rapists... He must be in hell. ;)
Conspiracy Guy rejects Kerry photo doctoring theory.
Film at 11.
Note: I'm only referring to your handle.
Looks like sun is overhead.
It's closer to the equator, sun almost overhead, the photo was probably taken around noon, hence the shadows.
It's the atrocities going on around them. And the drunk Khmer Rouge, shooting at Nixon.
No, it's consistent.
You'd have something if they were all standing in line.
Great try though!
;-)
