He's using tolerant language so far. It's good to hear Christian leaders staying on topic: the scientific basis for gender differentiation, children, families, and the strength of society.
Social experimentation will lead to unpredictable results, he says. Coming out for the constitutional amendment now...
Sorry about getting this out late.

He got a pretty hearty round of applause when finished. Is the National Press Club becoming a part of the VRWC?

I'd say that love of family and interest in maintaining healthy conditions for the family unit transcend religious conviction or the lackthereof.

Dr. Dobson is one of the few national conservative leaders who has stood up for the rights of poor Terri Schiavo of Pinellas Co., FL. The innocent Terri is likely to be condemned to death again by the liberal "compassionate" FL Supreme Court sometimes after Aug. 31.

Why not? I recall listening to him on the radio in the 1990s and being annoyed but I don't remember the specifics. My compliments to him in this context have more to do with his ability to remain tolerant and secular in his attacks on same sex "marriage." He said at one point that he couldn't speak for Jesus Christ.

It was almost over when I went to hit "submit."

Too bad Dobson just couldn't play a clip of the dead air that resulted
when feminist lawyer Gloria Allred was asked for the reason two brothers
can't get married.
(that was on KKLA in Los Angeles when she made the mistake of debating
gay marriage with guest-host Mark Davis)

He is too harsh about child rearing.
I have three boys. I have never ever spanked them with anything other than an open hand, nor has my husband. They are wonderful children and did not ever need an implement to spank. Indeed, one spanking was enough for each one.

Heck, the predictable results are enough to give rational people the willies.

That was kind of suprising...I heard (at least part) of the appearance when it
was played on the Focus On The Family radio show recently.

I didn't actually see the event in question but I think the NPC allows its facilities to be used by other groups. So the audicence wouldn't necessarily be NPC members.

Heck, the predictable results are enough to give rational people the willies. You don't have to be a right-wing Christian to get the willies over what the left is trying to do to gender identity, marriage, cloning, genetic engineering for human dna, and sexual re-education in this country.
We're their lab rats.

Ah. That explains it. The VRWC remains unpolluted.

We're their lab rats.
With the little attention being paid to what's already happened with the lab
rats of Northern Europe...
I'd consider the thought we might be pithed frogs.
Or at least the proverbial frog in the slowly-heated pot of water.

I last listened to Focus on the Family in the late 80s. I stopped because Dr. Dobson engaged in pretty continuous man bashing (dumb insensitive husband stuff).
