One of the protestors from Wednesday night who interrupted teh convention (the VP's speech) said on the news tonight she got a press pass--that that was the easiest way to get in--even though she was not with the press.

Just watched a LKL interview with GHWBush, Marvin and son before speech...They were terrific....I am hoping to catch Laura Ingram skewer Gergen I avoid CNN so am watching reruns...The dems are previewing Kerry's speech saying he needs to fight back...I heard the speech was a dud and delivery not good..Good luck dems.

Gergen wants Kerry to avoid personalizing(Cheney attack and going back to Vietnam)...He can't avoid his record, Gergen, and NO Republican has questioned Kerry's patriotism, just his judgement on national security and his vision of what America is about.

Lynn Swann said to Greta on Fox earlier ...he's "met Kerry and looked at him and saw nothing beyond the face"...THAT is the problem, dems, THAT is the problem.

Whatever. I will say you are in the 1% minority on this one. The first half was like a State of the Union, filling the requirement of setting a domestic agenda, while the second half was one of the best speeches I have heard, and clearly did the job of reconnecting him to the American people. His base is shored up, and the few undecideds will likely swing heavily his way.

One man's thought anyway.

Are you sure you were not a bit disappointed with the first 20 minutes or so, and then, after saying so on this thread, are now afraid to admit the last half+ of the speech was terrific? (The half everyone remembers by the way).

I was wondering if those of you who call Pataki, Guiliani, Arnold, etc, "RINO's" realize you are taking the same approach Zell Miller feels in his own party? Just a thought.
