It appears that the morning topic is Zell Miller.
I didn't see him with Chris Matthews, but caught Scarborough and his panel talking about it and showing some of the exchange. Then MSNBC had the entire episode on their website.
Zell was great; cut Matthews and chastised him. [Trouble is, that is Chris's MO---ask a question and then talk over the reply if he doesn't like what he is hearing. Southerns, like Zell, were taught in the early years that that kind of behaviour was rudeness. Chris must have been educated elsewhere.]

Here is what I think about FOX... About what? 2 months ago now, when it was starting to look kind of Bleak for the Rebublicans, and the Repub. Congressmen were getting REAL antsy, right about then there was some kind of SHIFT in Fox News, where they really pumped up the "Fair and Balanced" mantra and seemed like they did a real shift to the left...
I think it has to do with Bill O' Reilly... He has a HUGE influence on that channel, and I think, for whatever reason, someone or something got to him around then...
I think he was either reacting to himself becoming "Type Cast" as the "evil conservative" at Fox, where none of the Guests wanted to come on his show... an effort to moderate his show, and FOX news in general, to get more of the Liberal Guests to come on, for raitings of course...
OR Bill saw the DEMOS as winning in November, and he wanted to be in the position of already being a good Demo rump-sucker so that he and his show would fit into a DEMO controlled political scene, you know?

Report from my son: most of his contemporaries watched last night. Most had NO idea who Zell Miller was..didn't know he was a senator, let alone a democrat. They wre WOWED! NONE had known about Kerry's voting record on weapons...now they are PO'd at Kerry! HA!
I swear if President Bush just comes out and standsd on the stage and waves, he is going to get a bump from this convention!!!

Zell's speech is a keeper. Interesting how the MSM coverage completely omitted his litany of sKerry's anti-military votes.
I'm a newbie, and a Bush volunteer when I can. I think having this site up at work sneakin-a-peek has helped make my Liberal coworkers look at things in a different light.
(Having Rush on in the background doesn't hurt)! It's been a hoot living in MN for this election!
