AP CAUGHT LYING: No boos at Bush rally in Wisconsin (I was there)
9/3/2004 | Trust but Verify

Posted on 09/03/2004 1:04:48 PM PDT by Trust but Verify

I wouldn't have posted this as a separate topic until I heard on the radio on the way home from the rally that the AP had reported the crowd booed when it was annnounced that the former president had been hospitalized. That is a bold faced lie. I understand it was later retracted, but that's like unringing a bell. I do not think it was in error, either, since the writer further stated that 'Bush did nothing to stop them.' Shameful.

The rally was amazing. I don't know how many were in attendance, but the crowd could not have been more enthusiastic. I could be wrong (but I don't think so) but I don't think there's any question Bush will win in Wisconsin. I have worked for campaigns before, and been to rally's before, but I have never witnessed the fervor I did today.

I have pictures in one-hour processing right now (I am resisting the purchase of a digital camera) and when I get them back, I'll try to post them. If anyone can tell me how to do it, please FReepmail me.

I was there too. Clinton was extended an very warm get well cheer from the audience when the President told us of his condition. It was kinda like when an injured player from the opposing team gets up off the football field after suffering a major hit. The crowd was kind to Clinton. Otherwise, it was a major success. The roof almost came off the place when the president stepped out on stage. Chills up and down the spine. We are totally excited about Bush here in Wisconsin.

This pathetic source just takes the AP for granted and reports the boos.

Call:

202-776-9400

Spoke to Aperna Kumar. Also spoke to someone in NY. They gave away that it was someone traveling with Bush and implied that it was a he. But they refuse to give out a name. Call them and demand it. If they refuse, talk to their supervisor. Keep asking for supervisors until they get riled.

I am an American living abroad. The BBC is reporting the booing like it is the honest truth, complete with appalled faces on the anchor and the reporter. Really shows you how the media bias works. IT IS ALL LIES......

Folks, I heard a newsclip of this on the radio (before I heard that he was booed), and I remember thinking, "wow, no one booed"...in fact there was applause when the President asked them to pray.

Don't get mad. Just think "Thank you AP for moving WI from a barely blue state to the red states. Thank you for 10 more electoral votes."

I saw it on 6:00 PM news too. Absolutely a polite crowd with no booing. I think it was NBC. At least some of the alphabet media carried it, so some libs will be able to discern the truth of the matter.

I am hooked on the BBC America programs on home makeovers and was watching one this evening. It ended while I was in another room and when I returned the BBC World News had come on. They were right in the middle of reporting this and they did indeed report that the crowd booed. I saw that rally live this afternoon. I did not hear boos and was appalled to hear it being reported that way. But that's the BBC. Sheesh.

The biased reporter needs to be fired, NOW. I heard the soundbite, and they cheered, which is the proper thing to do.

NBC dateline is just RIGHT NOW about to air the video of Bush's wishes to Clintons health. Let's listen for any boos.

If you go to the AP.ORG site, you will see their Flash animation of six photographs. Two are of war destruction, one of a woman holding a "No Bush" sign while standing among a sea of flag-draped coffins, one of some Africans, one from the Olympics, and finally, one very positive picture of Sen. Edwards at a campaign stop with a clear "A Stronger America" highlighting the top.

Not a single positive sight from the war nor a positive picture from the Republican campaign. But all the bad photos are at least ended by that really nice Sen. Edwards photo.

The AP has a very strong bias, indeed. I've written them as well.
