XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN OCT 03, 2004 14:05:38 ET XXXXX
DEBATE MYSTERY: DID KERRY HAVE CHEAT SHEET?
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:
"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."
So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?
What did Kerry place on the podium?
Video replays of the Kerry maneuver played all weekend long on the internet.
[A tight zoom of the Boston.Com feed shows Kerry pulling a mysterious "card" from his jacket. 14 seconds into video, after commerical]
A top Kerry campaign source explained to the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday how Bush supporters were once again trying to distract.
"Kerry did not cheat," said the Kerry insider. "This is more lies from Republicans, who are hoping for a quick change of subject away from the president's performance, and the new polls."
Developing...
Not a pen...lol
You need to get that frame to DRUDGE and now. What's the source? Great job!
My fourth post today.
I forgot to thank you for your post. It has really brought out the freepers.
I only pray that it gets on Blogger pages,as many have said we are a forum. There is a difference.
Thanks again. I have waited all my life where I can be exposed to regular peoples' views from different parts of the country.

The most telling thing about sKerry goes beyond his lies, his flip=flops, his distortion and ignorance in general of the facts.
What tells me the most that he is not Presidential material?
The fact that he NEVER resigned his Senate seat.
He left himself a fall-back position.......
It was a distraction so he wouldn't do the tongue flick thingamajig.
Freepers have commented that he DID see it and got a strange look on his face. That would explain his attitude. I noticed that he was very p---ed off from the start.
Let me rephrase the issue, then get your reactions. If a candidate (through his campaign staff) signs on to an agreement - SAYS he will abide by it - and then blatantly violates that agreement because it gives him a tremendous edge... Does the fact that the candidate cheated to be prepared to speak more effectively not matter?
That seems to be what you are saying. If Kerry cheated, he should be finished. As G.W. (George Washington) said, "God grant that our principle men be men of principle."
I did see the video earlier today. The only thing that was clear was that he took something out of his pocket and put it on the podiuum.
I see that The Globe has something more clear, and I believe those who say Kerry clearly has a piece of paper.
I guess my point was, and is, that this is something that is believable and consistant with who Kerry is.
Lets just hopes this blows up big just like CBS did!!!
We got the proof.....Kerry did take paper from his pocket and put it at his podium. Don't the Democrats hate the truth?
Using the video is different than using notes to make a speech from..
Welcome aboard
Those sharp edges and corners would not have held up if it were a hanky (which I suggested earlier). It's a paper of some sort.
That's true. Bush kind of seemed like his normal bubbly self until he got up to the podium. I would think knowing that your opponent is cheating would be quite distracting.
That would also be good to have moderators post, at the first post , for reaction to Kerry's cheating action.
I'm at the point where I think those people need to be ignored. For whatever reason there are people that are more interested in nailing G.W. for his performance, than they are on focusing on what Kerry said or the fact Kerry's cheat sheet is the reason he won "Style".
Some of them are the enemy, so understandable. The rest have no excuse.
they had lights directly in front of them on each podium indicating time left and when to stop..
They had an agreement to limit campaign spending; when Kerry was behind and the election was getting close, he mortgaged "his" half of the Beacon Hill house and put (I think) $500,000 over the limit into his campaign.
Great frame, thanks for posting. Clearly looks like paper to me.
