President Bush to visit New Jersey on Monday
October 14, 2004, 2:54 PM EDT
WASHINGTON -- President Bush will stump in southern New Jersey Monday, the first time he has visited the state for a campaign-related event that was not a fund-raiser.
Details of Bush's scheduled visit to Burlington County have not been released, but it was announced to reporters on Air Force One on Thursday that the president would be in New Jersey on Monday afternoon, the Bush-Cheney campaign said.
Later Monday, First Lady Laura Bush is scheduled to attend a fund-raiser at former Gov. Christie Whitman's Oldwick home.

Still in play? As long as W doesn't repeat the 2000 California mistake.
Bush taking the fight to the Dems backyard. WoooooHooooo!!!!
Great news! The Blue states are turning red?!
gerat move, it will be covered by the Philly stations as well.
Latest numbers show Bush down by 5-6 in NJ. Methinks this is just gonna be as close as PA was in 2000. Still go blue but be much closer.
I like this but play for keeps in Florida and Ohio. I think he can campaign straight in those two states without boring anyone. Certainly wouldn't bore me. But hey the big boys know what they're doing.
Just put in for a day off. Going to make t-shirts for 1& 2 year old, any ideas ?
I'm not sure where this is in New Jersey, but I'm guessing this will also give him media attention in Pennsylvania. Two birds with one stone. But I agree, W should spend time there if it's a lost cause.
Hmmmm. Guess this explains the rather vague E-mail I received from Bret Schundler, referring to a big event for the President.
BUMP
If New Jersey is in play, Kerry is toast.
there are so many people in jeresy with young kids, GW needs to let them know he is looking out for them, so nothing like Brslan happens here
The Philadelphia stations will cover it big-time.
Where exactly is Kerry supposed to get his electoral votes? Lessee, when did Bush last make a campaign stop in Georgia? Wyoming? Tennessee?
BTW, if you haven't all seen it go to the bloggers forum and look at Jay Cost's new "Horserace" column: He calls Ohio "enemy territory" for Kerry, now, based on an extensive analysis of OH voter registrations. (Hint: Bush is up 19,000 in new registrations, so add that to the 110,000 he won by in 2000).
I think it's near Fort Dix/McGuire army/air force bases
FYI
Interesting announcement, wouldn't you say? Gets everybody's mind off the debates kinda quickly, huh?
Burlington County is in the Greater Philly Market, Great Area and He will Get Tremendous Support!!
