David Zucker comes out of the closet

Just heard on Laura Ingrahms show that hollywood producer David Zucker has admitted he is a republican and will be voting for Bush. He is known for the movies Airplane, naked gun, kentucky fried movie, baseketball, and top secret all classics that I am sure other freepers like me enjoy.

From Top Secret (my personal favorite Zucker movie):

Hillary: "My uncle was born in America."
Nick: "Oh, Really?"
Hillary: "But he was one of the lucky ones. He managed to escape in a balloon during the Jimmy Carter presidency.

Forget Airplane ... "Kentucky Fried Movie" is one of the funniest movies ever.

Anyone have a link to the David Zucker commercial for Bush that they were talking about?

Disagree. But then again, I love stupid slapstick comedy.

The Reagan slam was in Airplane where one of the passengers after getting food poisoning, stated "I haven't felt this bad since I saw that Ronald Reagan film." At least she was only slamming his movies, not necessarily his politics. See my quote from Top Secret, now that was a slam against Jimmy Carter.

Getting good dramatic actors--actors well known for their serious dramatic roles, NOT for comedy--to star in the movie is what really made it work.

No no no, it was something where someone says something of which the upshot is that Reagan's stupid, senile, insane, or all three.

Billy (to Ted Stryker): I have a question.

Ted: What is it?

Billy: It's an interrogatory statement used to gain knowledge, but that's not important.
