11/1/04 SurveyUSA: FL-Bush+1, Ohio-Bush+2, AR-tied, PA-Kerry+4, MO-Bush+5, NC-Bush+8, SC-Bush+11,

Also a few Senate polls: SC-DeMint+11 NC-Burr+5 PA-Specter+19 FL-tied

Numbers are uninteresting other than the tie in Arkansas which is not accurate. They claim that Bush's support in rural areas has dropped by 24% in the last week. That's just not possible. There is error in any poll, but that's bizarre.

In Florida these numbers represent a slight move towards the President, and Mel Martinez.

In Ohio there has been a swing of 5 points towards the GOP in the final week. Bush is showing huge, expanding leads among church goers, and pro-lifers. The gay marriage law on the ballott will will help Bush in Ohio.

Arkansas will elect a Southern Democrat. They WILL NOT elect a Massachusetts limousine liberal!

SurveyUSA in their writeup claims that the appearance of Bill Clinton in PA last week sent Bush dropping by 3 points, all of which went towards Kerry, erasing what had been a 6 point lead.

Personally..... I doubt it.

Even Bubba'n Chief is whining about Republicans using social wedge issues to win in Arkansas.

If it was close Edwards would be in Arkansas.

Gary Hart said he thinks Colorado is in play because Cheney went there today. Was the V.P. there for the Senate race?

I am betting that visit had more to do with nookey than campaigning. I hope nookey isn't a bad word here.

Slick Willie was here last night in Little Rock, along with Danny "Friend of Fidel" Glover and Morgan Fairchild (in NW Arkansas). Also, radio commercials featuring Clinton are blanketing the airwaves.
In 2000, Clinton showed up in predominantly black Pine Bluff the Sunday before the election to Campaign for Gore and democratic congressional candidate Mike Ross. Following this visit, hundreds of blacks were bussed to (illegally open) county offices to vote. As a result, Jay Dickey lost his seat to Ross in what was seen as Clinton's revenge for Dickey's vote for impeachment. I just hope this doesn't prove to be a repeat after all the votes are counted!

Yes, William the Zipper was there yesterday. Arkansas has a very popular Republican Governor. The only reason that Bill Clinton carried his state was that the people wanted Bill and the Hildabeast out of there.

Represents an improvement for Bush of 3 points in Florida and 4 points in Ohio since their last poll. And yes, they and ARG tend to over-sample democrats in many battelground states.
