Somehow I too feel strangely warm and fuzzy about this story. I just can't get all broken up when some idiot removes himself from the gene pool.
We are all quite fortunate that this loser did himself in before he was married and sired children.

Okay, let me get this straight.... The guy is upset because the President who has wiped out 2/3 of Al Qaeda is re-elected. So, the man then goes to the location of the deaths of thousands at the hands of Al Qaeda and kills himself. Yeah, that makes sense.

I can't disagree with you. If it was me and Kerry won, I sure wouldn't be blowing my brains out or renouncing my citizenship (the stupidest thing EVER!) I'd stay here and fight. I mean this is AMERICA, not communist freaking China or something. I'm sad for this man's family, but he did a ridiculous thing.

Well, if the story is true, he removed himself from circulation, which is immeasurably better than him trying to take it on others, verbally or physically. There is a certain measure of nobility there. OTOH, the clintons would never take so high a road.

No suicide note was found, he said. Veal apparently was distraught over President Bush's (search) re-election, Newsday reported Saturday on its Web site edition, citing an unnamed police source.Another unnamed source claimed he had sold his sold to the devil and recognized his foolishness after so many Americans foolishly voted for Kerry.

He was obviously against violence too.

"It's a national tragedy," he said. "This election is devastating to all who believe in democracy."
How is it "devastating to all who believe in democracy?" Bush won the Popular Vote by nearly 4 million votes; Bush will have won the Electoral College, and hence the Presidency, in full accord with with the US Constitution. All "Legal as Church on Sunday" -- as the saying goes.
In short ... this election is NOT devastating to all who believe in democracy. It's just devastating to those who believe themselves to be intellectually and culturally superior to Republicans who believe in God.

Hope he excused himself from the gene pool before checking out. He must have really believed all the crap the liberals have been spewing about President Bush. I think they should examine themselves as to their culpability. What I do know is Bush and conservatives are not responsible.
