Goldfish disease - Arafatitis: Parasitic infection (origin uncertain).
Symptoms: Uncontrollable lip movements, Gasping for Air, Loss of memory (especially for long numbers), Appetite for younger specimens (male), Compulsive Lying and Extreme belligerence
Symtoms may improve momentarily with media attention or administration of copious UN resolutions but the condition can be expected to deteriorate. Actual death is notoriously difficult to ascertain. May appear to recover completely during terminal stages.
Some eminent French enthusiasts believe the infected specimen should be removed from habitat and given intensive therapy in a sympathetic environment but there is a tendency for others in the shoal to gather round and possibly display cannibalistic tendencies.
Most experts agree the individual should be disposed of with extreme caution as the remains are certain to attract unwanted scavangers.
