It sounded like they started chanting USA, USA, USA in a good way when the shots started?

Has anyone finished downloading the first video file(ie frenchsoldiersshootingcivilians1.mpg), as apposed to the second video file which was the one that was posted in the article portion of the thread(ie frenchsoldiersshootingcivilians2.mpg)? If so what does that show? Maybe that gives more clues to what was going on.

"I'm suprised the Frence Soldiers could contain themselves. They probably shot them out of sexual tension or something."

Sad state of afairs indeed. One could always count on the French military's sexual if not battlefield prowess. They have been invading and conquering whore houses for ages.

This from the people who claim to have invented oral sex...I'm dissapointed.

If this is as good as what you people say it is, send it to DRUDGE and let it spread like fire on the net.

The French are a bunch of swine who think they have the right to lecture us about human rights?

Since they're typical Leftist pigs, I'm sure their fellow travellers in the Stalinist media won't broadcast their outright murder of civilians protesting.

It's pretty bad. There's no visible guns or rioting going on, but during the shooting it's all off camera. There were a number of wounds and one person, looks to be a woman had her head exploded. There were many non responsive women, no visible wounds, but that doesn't mean much. Some certainly fainted. There were a whole bunch of minor grazings.

It's a clear crime. No doubt.

I'm not surprised to hear you say that they were chanting USA USA USA...I saw on the news in Australia where the 'protestors' carried signs that said "USA PLEASE HELP US!'
That was the same report that mentioned the french were taking the side of the muslims...'from the north' I think they said...
We must try to find out what is really going on there. This is not a war about cocoa! The area I think borders on Liberia and I suspect this 'trouble' is connected with islam.

"I have probably been as vocal against the French and Europe in general, as anyone on this forum. That being said, it's my intent to be fair.....I don't even know if the side with the tanks is the one who opened fire..... Unless I see something more convincing that French did this, I'll withhold judgement until I can learn more about this.

If the French did open fire on unarmed civilians, I think it's a serious serious issue. If however, this is world-class propaganda, I'm not going to volunteer to be used."

I agree 100%. If the French were unprovoked this is a war crime, but we just cannot tell from the tape. You will see the French clearly at the end of the tape, but it is never clear what happened exactly. The French have done enough that we know about and can prove, so we do not need condemn them for things we are not sure about. I willbe fair to their troops just like I want people to be fair to our troops. I know people are not fair to our troops, but that does not mean we should stoop down to their level.

Folks, I would caution you to be very very careful what you sign on to, before the WHOLE truth is known about this.

It's very easy to splice video these days and some of the worst elements are involved in the Ivory Coast dust-up.

This could have been the rebels. Then even days later, French troops would have been taped in a vehicle driving away. We don't know the truth of this and jumping to conclusiong is a bid idea when it's in regard to something this serious.

I'll give the French their due. If it comes out this was French treachery, I'll be happy to join in the outrage later on.

That's what we are here for bro! Soon as Drudge and the others get on it we are rolling! I would find it hard to believe Drudge hasn't seen this already.

One of the post links to Radio Cote d'Ivoire. On their web site as I have explained they have a timeline of the events of Nov.5 and 6. After Ivory Coast used their limited Air Force to strike rebel positions, the french military destroyed some aircrafts of Ivory Coast (4) while on the ground at the airport. They used axes. Later in the day they fired mortar rounds into the presidential compound to destroy the presidential plane and a couplee of other planes (i don't know anything about planes but they are described there). Later on Nov 6 the civilians of the capital marched to the palace to protegt the president fearing a coup by the frenc.
The reports states that the french used machine guns fired from helicopters to shoot on the unarmed crowb. There were 8 deads and over 3000 injured.

I'd be willing to run it through Adobe Premeier and shrink the size and quality and host it on one of my sites. At 100mbs, the original would clean out the quotas on my sites really quickly since all totalled I only have 100GB of transfer/month.

If there's any interest let me know.
