A tid bit from antoher article:

"For a few seconds Bush met resistance from the Chilean officers. Bush was seen shaking his head and muttering under his breath as he walked away. "

Reuters

Can you imagine the Chilean security forces trying to defy President Bush?! Heads should roll.

Blessed to read of your prayer walk on the property. Am sure God has made use of those prayers many times and will still.

Dang I respect our President.

I don't care if you disagree with him on some things....you have got to respect this.

Wow.

It's not 100% clear to me from these pictures that it's the case:

I believe that Laura's #1 assistant is a Latino, and the lady at the graduation with her looks Spanish to me, so it could be her or a SS agent .. doesn't really look like Jan O'Neil to me.

The gal in geting into scuffle in Chile looks kinda like it could be the same gal .. which would make her SS most likely, but who knows for certain.

I'm still in shock over the heavy-handedness I'm seeing in the pictures .. someone's got his hand around what looks like a Secret Service Agent's neck in one. There's definitely physical restraint on the tall, bald SS guy .. this is all Tom Clancy frightening for sure. I pray they get out of there soon. Something's terribly wrong with all of this. God Bless George and Laura Bush .. wrap Your hedge of protection around them, Sweet Lord.

Looks like he's packing a S&W model 10, w/o a safety strap in what looks like a Border Patrol style holster. Pure 1960's stuff.

Opened the image in Photoshop. There is definitely a retention strap on the holster -- not that that changes the situation.

The Chilean security forces knew this man was part of President Bush's security. This was not a dry run. President Bush’s quick reaction most likely prevented his own assassination.

I wondered about that too. How could the Chilean agent NOT known who President Bush’s security personnel were, for *%$#@ sake! There are thorough briefings. This is very troublesome.

What a great picture! I haven't been as proud of a president since the wall came tumblin' down... and it ain't just this incident, either! He is a man.

If this isn't a "man bites dog" story, I don't know what is...

the Prez bailing out a Secret Service agent

They may not have done exactly as W did, but I imagine John Kennedy...

There is entirely too much reverence for JFK among conservatives ever since Rush complimented his tax policy a few years ago. JFK did not respect his SS detail. He treated them much the same way Clinton treated the state troopers assigned to him in Arkansas. Just one example: the SS recommended JFK use the bubble top on his limo in Dallas. Had he respected their advice, he would not have been assassinated.

JFK was scum: A womanizing drug addict who lied to the American people, nearly got us into a shooting war with the Soviet Union, betrayed the Cuban freedom fighters, played games with the Mafia, allowed the Berlin Wall to be built, and didn't do much worthwhile in his slightly less than 3 years in office.

"The Chilean security forces knew this man was part of President Bush's security. This was not a dry run. President Bush’s quick reaction most likely prevented his own assassination. "

That was my immediate concern also, when I read this.

"As Bush stepped inside, Chilean agents closed ranks at the door, blocking the president's agents from following."

I'm glad your son-in-law is back home safe after his tour of duty in Baghdad.

Thanks! And continued prayers for all those still in the fighting zones!

I am furious the local MSM did not cover this.

But then the MSM have no purpose except to brainwash the sheeple.

God bless President Bush.

Teh US Secret Service agent didn't do anything wrong.

The Chileans should be investigated -- seriously.

"As Bush stepped inside, Chilean agents closed ranks at the door, blocking the president's agents from following. "

They knew the secret service agents were with Bush.

John Kerry would have run someplace to hide until the fracas was over.

Bill Clinton would have apologized to the Chileans, and probably would have fired the SS agent. As for Algore, he probably would have totally freaked out, gotten all red in the face, and bellowed something incoherent.
