Now that sounds like the schools I used to attend - glad to hear some still exist! (o:

But they are winning.

I disagree! They are losing. Which is exactly why their power in government is diminishing and they are forced to try and legislate through our judicial system.

When the GOP increases their majority in 2006, there will be no more filibustering of judicial nominees, we WILL save our court system from activist judges!

I hope you are right.

They of course will fight judicial nominees tooth and nail as they have been.
It will take special judges with some guts to overturn the precedents they have been ammassing for the last 20yrs.
I've yet to see many of those.
Look at partial birth. 2 Repub appointed judges found to overturn it because of the "health of the mother" provision's absence. Why is that important? Because the case law precedents steered their decisions that way.

I also see their influence ingrained in our kids....they have already warped a generation who will lead one day.

I wish I could share your optimism and I hope to be wrong.

Trust me, TX is alot more P.C. than they would have you believe. At least in the larger cities. I lived there for 10 years and was constantly suprised.

I am a native Texan, and lived in Arlington for several years (between Fort Worth and Dallas) before moving out to Caleefohnia two years ago. What I observed is that the regular people were generally not PC at all -- but the people who were motivated to run for public office were frequently VERY PC. (And of course, Dallas -- next door to Plano -- is notoriously "eastern" rather than "western" and very PC!)

Seems to me that an earlier poster was right, and we need to be running for office to give people something NON-PC to vote for!

Yes, Dallas is very "east". Guess it's all the snow birds that have brought their liberalism along with them. Funny, but most of my best friends in TX are native Texans and they lamented the invasion of northerners. I couldn't blame them. ( I am one!)

My Email to the Entire Schoolboard-

Ladies and Gentlemen

How dare you inflict your psychologically and spiritually
dysfunctional poison upon our children. This is TEXAS....Hello???

Banning "Christmas COLORS"????

The ACLU and NEA have gotten a head start on the Silent Majority, but
that is about to cease.

We will defeat you in the courts and at the ballot box.....we will not
tolerate your PC "Big Brother" .

Communism has done an end run on America, its come back in a different
shape and color, our educators have become the evangelists of
godlessness and Political Correctness....but its still dehumanizing
and spiritually void and inherently DISHONEST....and THIS WILL NOT
STAND!!!

I live in Plano, what's so bad about it? I went to these schools. I'm sickened that they are doing this here.

I remember singing part of The Messiah in High school just a few years ago. Today that would be impossible.

What a horrible turn our schools have taken...

Sorry. I looked at houses there and couldn't stand the whole "fenced in concept", traffic, kids driving BMW's, suicide rate amoung teens, drugs, etc. etc. But it's not just Plano anymore. The surrounding communities are becoming just as bad. We left because it just didn't feel safe anymore.

We live in a little town in the "north" now and just had the H.S. Christmas concert yesterday. EVERY song was about Christmas, Jesus, etc. It was wonderful! (wondering how long it will last)
