Authorities are exploring whether a religious argument in an Internet chat room led to the slaughter of a Coptic Christian couple and their two daughters in their Jersey City home, relatives of the slain family said yesterday.
One of the victims, 47-year-old Hossam Armanious, spent some of his spare time in chat rooms devoted to the Egyptian religious sect, at times proselytizing and at times writing about persecution of Coptic Christians by Muslims, family friends said.

I feel so sorry for this poor family. I pray that they thought of God at the time of their deaths, and thereby had His protection.

Actually, while we need to wipe out this Jihadi cell, we really need to quit equating "Islam" with Bin Laden's malevolent Wahhabist variety. It's like saying that snake-kissers are typical "Christians", or that John Brown at Potawatomie Creek was a "typical Christian evangelist".
Equating the problem with Islam feeds Bin Laden's cells by playing into his hateful propaganda, which is basically an invitation to universal religious warfare.
That all said, these guys need to be found right away and tried for what they did.

The last major Islamic contributions to learning and culture were during the 1200s. It has been a while.
I'm not a Christian (deist actually), but there is a major difference. Mainstream Christianity universally rejects and condemns snake-handlers and the John Browns of the world. By contrast, mainstream Islam supports, through acts of commission and omission, the terrorist acts of Bin Laden, Hamas, etc. In other words, mainstream Islam has de facto endorsed such actions. I'm still waiting for condemnation of terrorist acts by mainstream Muslim leaders that are not qualified by b.s. claims that the root cause of such acts lie at the doorstep of the U.S. and/or Israel.

Really? Explain to me then the last election in Malaysia, Indonesia where the radical/ fundamentalist (whatever word you choose) parties got their asses handed too them.
Just do what you can while you still can. Once you lose your will to say anything for fear of death then you will have lost the United States. Regardless of the numbers of Muslims be it one percent 99 per cent, if they control the agenda and alter your decisions you will have become a Muslim dominated society. In the UK every aspect of the government's agenda is dominated my Islam, from the law to make criticisms of Islam illegal to the emplacement of Sharia law into the banking system, to the state funding of Islamic schools and mosques while British state schools and Churches are falling down.
If you dare come to Britain, see how they look at British people in their areas, deluged by beards and veils, look how they give any British citizen dirty looks when they are unlucky enough to stray into a Muslim part of town.
Do what you have to, just keep them from getting control because if they do then you will have to choose between Islam and death as they do in the Lebanon where once it was majority Christian and now is Majority Muslim.
I think we must start to act, use what is effective against us and adopt their methods. It is the only way, there is no other way.

As I sat at the kitchen table this morning, drinking a cup of coffee, I gave some thought to this crime and a couple of others I’ve read about recently. I came to a very unpleasant conclusion: Americans, particularly Christian Americans, have three choices, all bad.
1) We can convert to Islam and worship Allah.
2) We can die as Christian martyrs.
3) We can become genocidal killers.
It has become plainly obvious to any who will look objectively at the situation, that Islam is now and always has been intent on ruling the world. Whether it happens incrementally or by the sword, it will happen… unless we do something about it.
I, for one, cannot envision myself bowing down to a false God, so option #1 is out. Martyrdom sounds good but doesn’t do much to contain the real problem. Besides, given a chance, most of us would prefer a miserable life to a glorious death.
That leaves us with option #3 which, since Raphael Lemkin invented the word “genocide” shortly after World War II, has to be approached carefully. Unfortunately, it must still be approached, if not openly then it will most certainly be explored behind closed doors where further mischief will be hatched.
First, it isn’t a new concept. Moses used the tactic when he defeated Sihon and Og. We’re all familiar with what Hitler and Stalin did, if only because we’ve been reminded of it so thoroughly. It’s happening right now in Darfur and it will happen again somewhere in the world. The only question is: Will we be the perpetrators or the victims?

No, we have had nothing like this here, that I have heard of, just lots and lots of gang-rapes, the odd honour-killing...and plots uncovered to blow up our power-grid and the 2000 Olympic Games.
