Egypt used to be part of the Greek Empire, and it's fall was one of the reasons the Crusades were launched.

Actually, Egypt fell in the 7th century. The first crusades weren't launched until the late 11th century. The main instigating factor was the burning of the Church of the Holy Sephulcre in Jerusalem and the increasing military weakness of the Byzantine state after the disastrous Battle of Manzikert in 1071.

I have said nothing about the poor victims of Islam. Those born into it are to be pitied. Either they renounce it and pay with their heads because of Apostasy or remain mired in its ignorance and delusion. It is no accident that the most poverty striken and God forsaken societies on earth today are Moslem. Islam's fruits are clear. The Borg had more freedom of thought than Mo's followers.

There are millions of Moslems who are on the front line fighting these fanatics and I support them totally and praise them for the bravery they show. If they are the wave of the future Islam will survive if their enemies are then it will not. There is no future for a religion which uses murder as a recruitment tool unless we remain blind to its threat.

As for the shortcomings of the Koran that I cannot help. Of all religious texts I have read it is without doubt the worst piece of literature among them. Even religious writings thousands of years older such as the Upanishads and the Buddist texts or the Eygptian Book of the Dead are much more significant and moving. Koranists appear mainly to use it as a means of brainwashing through trancelike chanting. Mohammed didn't even require his followers to believe his religion all they had to do was SAY they did and all was ok.

Should you find portions of the Koran which refute my contentions by all means tell me and I will re-read them.

Attempting to portray me as a bigot is amusing but futile.
I judge and treat all men as equals until their enemity is revealed.

Here's a little angle on Jews as dhimmis that I've posted before:

What really bugs the Palestinians is all the Jewish West Bank hilltop settlements that look down on Palestinian communities which (traditionally) are in the valleys with more moisture for crops and forage. Islamics hate to have Jews looking down on them. The dhimmi laws reflect this.  Dhimmi laws mandated that non-Muslim buildings cannot be higher than Muslim buildings. That a Jew must dismount his horse when passing a Muslim on foot.

Mohammedans demand to have the higher ground such as the Al Aqsa mosque where they can rain down stones on the Jews praying below at the Kotel-Western Wall.

I totally agree. Mohammed was receiving his false prophecies from either Satan directly, or demonic beings. Allah is Satan in disguise.

poor little mohammad was an orphan-child who after the death of his uncle,lived with beggars on the steps of the temple, who in his youth often suffered from attacks that suggest he suffered from seizures, which were treated by the application of wet, scented cloths. Mohammad's uncle was told, when the boy was still very young, he was destined for 'great things' - as good an explanation for mental illness as was available at the time, IMO. Remember, the ancient Greeks believed the mentally ill were 'touched by the gods'.

The voices mohammad heard in his head disturbed him to such an extent, that he contemplated suicide. Several of his followers became convinced mohammad was jinn-possessed. Raving, barking, MAD.
