If he is indeed truly Jewish, and not just a troll or an jew-baiter, than shame on him. I will never understand a Jewish muslim, anymore than I can understand my fellow Jews who cling to the jew-hating left, like deckchairs on the Titanic.
As the left becomes more and more wedded to radical islam, they find themselves uncomfortable at these liberal rallies. Witness the Berkeley debacle, where Jews against Israel silently watched the palestinian hordes attack the anti-terror rally, with signs denouncing all Jews as pigs. Leftist Jews, they mean you, too.

If you want to use the Godfather, you don't seem to recall that the target was left alive, to BE terrorized.
Islam is based on a false worldview, but it's still a religion, at least as most people define the word.
What's hard for many Americans to believe, or at least to say, is that all religions are not equal. American culture, to the extent it exists, is more compatible with the Jewish and Christian faiths than it is with any others.
Because we don't all share the same faith, though, this subject is one that most Americans feel profoundly uncomfortable discussing.

The movie mogul in the Godfather was left alive so that he would give Johnny Fontaine the coveted part in a movie he was producing. To kill him right away would not have achieved that result. However, if he still refused to give Johnny the part after they whacked the horse, there would be no reason to keep him alive, for any reason, and he would have been killed. The Mafia did not terrorize people because of their religion; it was usually business and the women and children were usually kept out of it. I am not excusing the methods or excesses of organized crime by any means.

But it does seem that the "successful" terrorist has the highest body counts. Why else would 9/11 be hailed as such a heroic feat in islamic countries (and on some American college campuses)?
And what of the terrorists' own voiced desire to see as many Americans dead as they can kill?

Ok, chemgeek, I went thither. I am not sure what you expected, but I saw little to be offended by except the inhumanity of muslim terrorists, to use a Downs child to achieve their sick ends. I am glad the election went as well as it did, why wouldn't I be?

Body counts obviously add to the "terror", and give more publicity. 911 was meant to be the opening shots of a worldwide conflict, not a goal in itself.
A single beheading is hailed, it dosen't matter how many are killed.
Terrorism failed in the recent Iraq elections - They could not muster enough to cause major problems -
They are losing, and they know it. Like the Democrats, they will become more fanatic as their power slips away...
There is some background stuff going on, that's for sure.
