Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?

Is it time for a March on the SCOTUS and the Judiciary and the Senate?

Are you as fed up as I am over the bad decisions being handed down by the SCOTUS and throughout the judiciary? Are you tired of judicial activism? Are you tired of being ruled by the men in black robes? Is it time to remind the SCOTUS that We The People ARE the final arbiters of law and justice in this land?

Are you fed up with the weak-kneed Republican Senate? Are you ready to drop the nuclear option on the obstructionist Democrats? Are you fed up with Specter and the RINOs?

Is it time for us to rise up and march on Washington again? How many of you are willing to join me in another march to D.C. to straighten out these yahoos and remind them of who's in charge in this republic?

If they can do it in Lebanon, we can do it here!!

Somone has suggested we set up a tent city. Don't know if it can be done or not, but I'm all for it if it can.

I feel the same way. Is there anything we can do as FReepers to organize an event? We are ready, we want to end judicial tyranny. Who, what, when, where and how is this going to happen? Can you elaborate? Who will be the contact? What can we do to help organize a nationwide FReeper event? It's time. We need ad's in papers, we need to fundraise awareness, maybe a couple of FReepathons to raise ad donations. You know FReepers will support this effort 100%. FReepers are ready and willing to support a huge protest on DC. You all name the time and place, we'll be there.

SCOTUS basks in its power and glory -- if it is on the wrong side of elite opinion, the justices would care, but they care not if at odds with those of traditional values. Ford gave us Stevens; Reagan gave us O'Connor and Kennedy, and Bush I gave us Souter. That alone is 4/9 of the problem.

It's bad enough that SCOTUS ignored their duty to uphold the Constitution and the rights it reserves for the States. It's even worse that they cited international opinion and that they somehow think they have an Amazing Kreskin- like knowledge of our public opinion, even though it isn't reflected by the laws of those States.

For me the absolute worst thing is that the case they decided this on was a great example of a completely depraved juvenile who flaunted actually the fact that he'd get away with this evilness because he was a minor!

This is madness. I'm sick at my stomach and fed up with it.

BTW, Jim, this is one demonstration in DC I would go to (from my far-away home in Calif). My #1 reason for voting *Bush* in 2000 was to remake the courts. We cannot fail him in his nominations.

bumping!!!

Ping to judicial nomination ping list!

Kay R. Daly has asked me to maintain and use this list started by her as she is running Coalition for a Fair Judiciary, now battling to get judicial nominees a vote on the Senate floor.

You are being pinged this first time because you signed up for the list via FReepmail.

Some who signed up openly on the forum will be pinged shortly.

Please ping me or FReepmail me to get on or off the list.

It is time for the Senate to be arrested. They act like Rome in its worst days. W should just have Cheney permanently adjourn them.

.....this is becoming an issue of American Soverignty, and even those who may agree with the result should be concerned...

Exactly. Jonathan Turley, an HONEST liberal, who is a Constitutional scholar, said the same thing on Fox News tonight.

In the sense of 'evil', No. Along for the ride, yes. Rehnquist came on the Court just before I started law school. A great jurist? Yes. A great Chief Justice, I think, regrettably, no. Rehnquist has failed to put his imprimatur on the Court he has led for so long, and the fact you have so many 5-4, 6-3 decisions, with his side losing too many is proof of that.
Scalia is brilliant, and also because he's so acerbic, and does not suffer fools gladly, i.e many of his fellow justices, is marginalized. Scalia will always write brilliant, well reasoned opinions. He will also write, almost invariably, minority opinions. Justice Thomas is a solid justice with more people skills than Scalia. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be able to dominate or bring around the idiot six.
