People on another thread are saying the Schindlers asked everyone to go home, but Randall Terry came running out and objected, saying Mr. Schindler didn't mean it.

"I'm not a lawyer, but would it not be possible for the Schindlers to immediately file a wrongful death lawsuit after Terri passes, and insist that her body not be cremated as it might provide evidence?"

I have had thoughts along similar lines. An autopsy would might prove very useful. If it showed that her brain wasn't "liquified" as some attending physicians have said, it could be grounds for the "mother of all malpractice" lawsuits. But leaving that aside, if her brain wasn't damaged like so many "physicians" have claimed and judges blindly relied upon their testimony. The effects could be shattering. Some physicians should and would suffer deserved professional damage. I don't think it could be used against Michael Schiavo though, unfortunately. Unless, it could be argued that Michael's failure to allow therapy was abuse. I'm blatthering and need to shut up......

Judge Greer, George Felos, Michael Schiavo... may the fleas of a thousand bubonic carrying rats, infest your pubic regions.

Very well stated - Thank you! About all I could add to what you stated would be "forever or until you rot in hell!"

In his latest ruling on Saturday, Greer said the Schindlers could have presented Weller's affidavit at an emergency hearing three days ago, but did not, and therefore "waived their right to raise Terri Schiavo's alleged verbalization."

Judge Greer now goes even further over the top. This judge is now playing with the Schindlers in the most heinous fashion. Taken with denying religious succor, this judge is not a mere embarrassment to our legal system -- he is an indictment of it.

For Judge Greer to remain on the bench after this type of outrageous behavior -- acting in contempt of the Congress, the executive branches of both the United States and Florida, and now to toy with the Schindlers like this and then to deny spiritual comfort -- will be an suppurating wound on our body politic.

I personally hope that he can be impeached and removed from the bench expeditiously for his flagrant behavior.

Exactly! They are all cut from the same cloth, and are sociopaths. They make me sick!

They're all headed to the same final destination. Along with Judge Greer.

You're right. In fact, I don't see the point of anyone being there.

And he can cremate it anyway, certain that the punishment for destroying evidence will be something he can deal with.

What punishment? He will simply be following a court order to burn the body. We've already seen that not even the Governor or President can violate a court order.

Figures. I wonder what the truth actually is? That sounds more true than anything else I've heard.

"He is denying her The Last Rites as well, simply because it includes Communion."

"My level of digust has never been so high."

Like I said, I'm not Roman Catholic, but I suspect that your outrage will be shared by a great many practicing Catholics. He has shown a trully vicious side of his nature.

The Libertarians generally do not extend their fervor for rights to the unborn. Now we see they don't care about the rights of the extremely disabled, either.

This libertarian believes government has a paramount duty to protect the rights of all Americans including the unborn as well as the disabled. Furthermore, I believe Jeb Bush has/had the authority and the duty to protect Terri in this case.

So careful with those broad strokes.

I would hope the Schindlers file a wrongful death suit to prevent MS from profiting off their daughters death.

Yes, we can write "Ichabod" on the nation. It has lost its moral bearing, and I don't think there is any turning back. "Ichabod" means "the spirit of God has departed."

As a Catholic I know how sad that is. Truthfully, she would be unable to take it now because of her conditon. Prayers are all we can do for her now.

I'm willing to bet inside a year, one of those priests will be presiding at Michael's wedding

Cynicism may be realistic, but sometimes people are possessed by the spirit of the moment.

"We've already seen that not even the Governor or President can violate a court order."

I think the area (county?) medical examiner can order an autopsy before allowing cremation - a judge cannot overrule this. In light of allegations of abuse, it should be done.
Don't hold your breath though.

"AP News is reporting that the husband has denied Terri communion on Easter."

AP:
Paul O'Donnell, a Roman Catholic Franciscan monk, said the family unsuccessfully urged Michael Schiavo to allow his wife the sacrament of communion during the holiest feast of the Catholic year. She received last rites the day the feeding tube was pulled.

"This is in violation of her religious rights and freedoms and allows the governor to ... intervene," O'Donnell said, repeating the family's request that the governor take Schiavo into protective custody. "We beg you to have courage and take action."

The family had asked for Schiavo, who cannot swallow, to have a minuscule piece of bread and a drop of wine placed in her mouth.
