What happens when his prescription changes? Or if someone gets mad at him and rips one of the lenses off his face?
I think they're put on somewhat like earrings (they aren't permanently attached to the guy's face), so I don't think prescription changes matter. I'd be more worried about it getting ripped out of his face. You think a torn earlobe from a earring hurts, just imagine that thing getting torn off...

These would come off with a bit of the bridge of his nose, and he might want to reassess his "no safety risks involved".
