Steve Barrett reporting that "The Reverend Jessie Jackson has accepted the family's invitation to join the demonstrators outside the hospice where Terri is dying."
1. Is this turning into way too much of a circus?
2. Want to bet the race-baiting poverty pimp invited himself?
"1. Is this turning into way too much of a circus? "
yes
But TerrI isn't Black and as a result there can't be any racism in this issue, so why is Jesse going? He does, after all, thrive on playing the race card.
This has turned into way too much of a circus.
Weel, now it is time for all the Dems to pile on in favor of Terri, about 3 seconds before she dies so THEY can look like the white (oops) knights that tried valiantly to save her while the rotten Repubs sat on their hands. That POS.
THings are truly desperate when Jesse Jackson is called in.
Jesse thinks Terri's tube should be reinserted. So do Ralph Nader and Joe Lieberman, and (I think) Tom Harkin.
It's like Selma all over again.
Oh this man has no shame. None. What can he possibly offer this grieving family?! If this kind of opportunistic chump was a Republican, we'd be FILETED over him and his antics.
His son did vote for the bill in Congress the other week.
Jessis Jack*ss said he had trouble with the ethics. Not surprising since he wouldn't know what ethics are if they bit him in the *ss.
This could be Democrat damage-control. We'll see if Jesse Jackass starts preaching and giving us the "Democraps are religious, too" argument.
I am not a Jackson fan (and he does seem to love to just get attention).
BUT in this case--his heart is in the right place--and since he has been advocating for the life of this poor helpless woman. He has been very vocal, speaking out on the behalf of T.S. and since most on the left are NOT pro-life--he has been taking some flack for this.
So--in my opinion he has every right to be there. It probably won't help--but I don't see how it can hurt...
"But TerrI isn't Black and as a result there can't be any racism in this issue, so why is Jesse going? He does, after all, thrive on playing the race card."
I always thought he thrived on the TV cameras
What took him so long? Doesn't he know that what is happening to Terri can happen to the "Black Community" as well? Especially now that it has become all to obvious that this nation is not moving "forward", it is retrogressing back to the days of States will decide who should be treated as human and who shouldn't.
Well now the circus is complete.
Randall Terry. Larry Klayman. Jesse Jackson.
Well, I'll give Old Jesse props for this one.
It can't hurt to see a liberal black Dem stand up for Terri's human rights.
I only wish more people from that side of the aisle would join in the fight to save Terri.
Jess Jackson con be right about something one or two percent of the time. He should have gotten there a week earlier.
War and politics again make strange bedfellows. Terri has Jesse Helms and Jesse Jackson in her corner.
If JJ gave a damn about Terri he would have been there MUCH earlier than 2 weeks ago!
This is all about JJ, just like anything he opens his yap about.
