Mexico's President Vicente Fox is preparing to respond militarily to a group of U.S volunteers who plan to patrol the U.S.-Mexican border starting tomorrow, positioning more than a thousand troops nearby, according to an Arizona TV station.
"The Mexican military is on stand-by," reports NBC's Tucson affiliate KVOA. "One unit has about a thousand soldiers. They're located just across the border." Over the last week spokesmen for the border patrol volunteers, who dub themselves Minutemen, have said they will not attempt to detain Mexican illegals, but rather report them to the Border Patrol and track them till they're apprehended.
Despite the assurances, Mexican officials met with the mayor of Douglas, Arizona on Tuesday to discuss how they will handle potential violence, KVOA said.
Last week President Fox warned at a Mexico City press conference:
"We totally reject the idea of these migrant-hunting groups. We will use the law, international law and even U.S. law to make sure these types of groups, which are a minority, will not have any opportunity to progress."
Look, I hate having to jump on board with people who say that there are these big conspiracies. It repels me.
But then I see the FACTS, and the facts are:
And then you go, hmmmm. All these forces, legal and illegal, are arrayed against the Minutemen, who's sole goal it is to make sure ILLEGAL immigrants do not enter the country.
And then you realize that all elements of power are FOR ILLEGAL immigration.
And then you can see how the concept of the abolition of the Nation-State of America could easily be on their agenda.

My guess that the Mexicans will have about the same success as Clinton did when he attempted to make MARINE CORPS boot camp go "co-ed". The Commandant basiclly to him to go pound sand and the "issue" ended then and there.

Based on the events of recent days, I can see our own armed forces being deployed jointly with the Mexican Army to stop the Minuteman movement.
Mark my words, this is what will happen. Even more absurd, you'll have bands of migrants racing across the border even as our own citizens are taken into custody.
I'd bet a sizable amount on it.
They have been for quite some time. Also involved in drug smuggling and a couple of shootouts with Border Patrol Agents in Texas.

Some efforts have been made to keep illegals out of the dangerous areas, but it is against the Mexican constitution, which allows for free movement within Mexican territory. It is telling that the Mexican government wants to impede the movement of the Minutemen within American territory, however.
Let the war begin. I know who will win, and it will not be Fox and kin.
When are any of these people going to learn that empty threats by their tinpot leaders just serve to piss us off and that, contrary to our fat lazy and decadent image, we're among the last folks any rational human being would want to piss off?
I am not confident he'd do it, but one would hope the president could explain to Sr. Fox that any interference with private American citizens on the US side of the border, legally bearing arms under the freedom enshrined in our constitution and the laws of our sovereign States, by military forces of the Republic of Mexico will be met with a response that we can guarantee he won't like.
Trenches, walls, razor wire, freezing of Mexican assets in the United States, cancellation of NAFTA, forced repatriation of all Mexican citizens and their kin here illegally or otherwise, and cancellation of the annual Cinco de Mayo Tamale Barf on the White House lawn all come to mind. Of course, those would be no substitute for the annihilation from the air of his thousand man contingent of "standby" Federales.
People need to realize that we are crazy and at least be cautiously polite to us. A large portion of our population is absolutely s**t nuts and, Jesu Cristo!, most of us have guns! Our ancestors were even crazier than we are but a still sizable number retain the Al Swearingen gene, you know the one that led Harry Truman to say "Sure, drop 'em both".

I never was one to fall for conspiracies myself until about a year ago. I've noticed a lot of things that have made me go Hmmmmm.
