Rangel combines Al Sharpton's ethics with Marion Barry's crackpipe.

"We have to get rid of the bums that are trying to take [Social Security] away from us," Rangel complained

"We're going to have to take some things away from you, for your own good" Hillary Rodham Clinton screeched.

Rangle is a monument to the quota system of Affirmative Action. If he was white, with the same party affiliation and hate America beliefs, he never would have been elected to the House of Representatives from the Congressional that he represents!

Why don't we impeach Charlie for being too stupid to sit in the House of Representatives as evidenced by this convoluted thought. At very least he should be in the Senate where all elected numbskulls, cowards and Traitors of this nation seem to have congregated as one voice.

Rangle is an idiot, and an embarassment as a human being. His presence in the House of Representatives is a good promotion for totalitarian governments!

Not only ridiculous but listen to the terminology he used. Non professional, crude and unbecomming. Thank God there are people like President Bush as the leader of this country.

My understanding is that what we got isn't exactly what FDR had in mind. But I'm sure the USSR wasn't exactly what Marx had in mind, either.

But your point is very well taken; SS is very much a Ponzi scheme, and as now constituted is clearly a fraud on our children. I watched one of those asinine AARP commercials last night while my 16 and 12 year old were in the room. I could not help but feel for them and how the greed of today's left is robbing them of any chance for financial security as they get older.

Rangel blasted the president for trying to "dismantle" Social Security, saying it would hurt black Americans disproportionately

Cards anyone?

When I heard what Rangel said I laughed and shook my head. He's playing to the idiots who hate Bush, nobody else. Sad thing is that he has an audience with that crap.

Uh, yeah, sure. Politicians from both parties have spent every red cent of the Social Security surplus. Bush is willing to admit that the trust fund is worthless. Rangel says otherwise. But Bush is the one committting fraud.

The worst thing is that to "fix" SS, they're talking about raising more money. And that additional money will go straight into the general fund, and they will issue even more worthless "T-Bills" in return. And there will just be more "I-Owe-Me-s" which are debits against future revenues!

Raising more money now will just raise the debt level in the future! Why can't people see this?!?!?!
