"You're in the House, Charlie. You can file the impeachment motions any time you like, so what are you waiting for?"

Seems to me he votes AGAINST his own motions, ie; the draft bill.

"...saying it would hurt black Americans disproportionately."

Is there anything we anymore that doesn't "hurt black Americans disproportionately"? It doesn't seem so...

The only good thing I can say about Charlie Rangle is that he once served in the Marine Corp. Of course that was, I believe, during the Vietnam war which as we all know hurt black Americans disproportionately.... Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Raising more money now will just raise the debt level in the future! Why can't people see this?!?!?!

Because both parties have been lying through their teeth about the "Trust Fund" and the "Lock Box".

One would think the Dimocrats would, at least occasionally, look at the soles of their shoes.

They all must be continually stepping in something slippery and smelly, that makes them keep falling on their faces.

Imagine listening to the audio book of a James Michener book read by Charlie Rangel? Around hour 37 you'd be perforating your own ear drums.

Rangel has a career ahead as a co-star with Susan Estrich doing voiceovers for an animated series about talking garbage disposals that eat gravel.

Hmmmm.....perhas Rangel ought to look to his own Dem party. In the mid 1960's, wherein LBJ took the separate Social Security fund and placed it into the US General fund. Thus efectively hiding the cost of his Vietnam war. SS has been in the general fund since.

Rangel blasted the president for trying to "dismantle" Social Security, saying it would hurt black Americans disproportionately.

Haven't we read numerous times that black Americans are at this point already being hurt by SS, since they apparently die at higher rates before they can even collect?

"Rangel blasted the president for trying to "dismantle" Social Security, saying it would hurt black Americans disproportionately."

Well, dismantling free markets and the way you wish to invest your own money hurts EVERYONE.

"All Rangel is, is a buffoon like Sharpton, McKinney, Hinchey, Kucinich and other representatives that like to make their money off of the public dole, so they play to their constituency just as often as they can, to keep the $$$$ rolling in...."

Don't forget Conyers, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Maxine Waters, et al., ad nauseum. Poverty Pimps all.

Correction - Rangle served in Army during the Koraen conflict.

From the bio on his website;

"Congressman Rangel served in the U.S. Army from 1948-52, during which time he fought in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star."

Maybe so, but I can't claim credit for it. Only for applying it to our "pal" Chucky here.

Isn't he under investigation for something? If not, shouldn't he be?

“It is unfortunate that more than a year before any election, the Republicans place politics over Social Security’s solvency. They have the majority and yet it is the Democrats who keep the Social Security issue on the table,” Rangel said.

“In contrast to our insistence that we save Social Security first, the Republicans passed a tax bill that would have spent $792 billion of surpluses needed to ensure the future of Social Security and Medicare. While we want to fix the roof while the weather is clear, most Republicans seem to just want to bask in the sun,”

This will probably get erased quicker than I can type it, but type it I must.

If Rangel was white, his asinine pratings wouldn't even get him a laugh, as a stand up comic on amateur night..

"We have to get rid of the bums that are trying to take [Social Security] away from us," Rangel complained

Uh, Charlie, you don't have Social Security. You, as a Congressman, are exempt from this pyramid scheme. But, if it is so great, you are free to join the rest of us peons and contribute.
